so everyone keeps talking about what nintindo might come out with next, and it got me thinking... They seem to have set themselves up for a DSU. The next nintendo handheld seems like it would be a portable wii u, it would have 2 screens, top HD, Duel analogs, and play downloaded wii u games. am i crazy or does this sound legit? discuss...

I won't say that this isn't coming, but I am going to say that it's very much unlikely. Nintendo have merged their hand-held and console departments together, and while it certainly sounds like they're trying to merge the two into a singular device this is just not the case. By their own admission they are simply trying to unify the OS of both the handhelds and consoles. If you'd like me to find the article I can.

Though, if they did merge the two systems I'd love to have something more like a Wii U, but the Gamepad capable of gaming on the go. That way I can play a game at home, then carry it with me while I'm away from home, and finally continue to play it at home again. Seemlessly. This would be a good idea.

Sounds awesome, but crazy expensive and would be rather difficult to put such power in a mobile setup.

Suddenly, the Razer switchblade comes to mind.

HD Nintendo DS of some sort would be amazing as thier next handheld, but that's about 5-6 years away yet.
