A creative way to use the Wii U controller for this game is to track the weapons you have used. You could see if any body has ran into your banana or green shell and see where your red shell or blue shell has hit your target or not.

This would be awesome.

SMS is pretty much my favorite game of all time... :o

Though if there were a sequel, I want to be different. Super Mario Galaxy 2 was almost the same as Super Mario Galaxy (save for the levels).

Some kind of sequel to Super Mario Sunshine (but it can't be like Super Mario Galaxy 2 with very few differences)
A 2D mario in the vein of Super Mario World/ Super Mario Bros. 2 (USA)
A long Zelda.
Mario Kart.
Yoshi's Island
Kirby! :D

Yoshi's Island would also be great. It has to be like SMW2 yoshis island though, Yoshi's Story is a disappointment compared to the other.
