Always online is stupid, products shouldn't punish or prevent you from enjoying them for not having an internet connection.

#190220 My Realistic Smash Bros 4 Newcomers List

I can pretty much agree with everyone on your list. I personally can't decide between Lucina and Lyndis, though. I personally think there should be one character from each game, but that's just me.

...Lyn, anyone?

#191002 Things I should know before buying a Wii U

Posted by Gaymer on 06 April 2013 - 10:00 PM

Trust me bro, don't let my Profile Image fool you I tell many many people all the time how stupid it is to say a console is doomed like they want it to die.

I remember when I got my 3DS people were saying that crap and It was really annoying, same thing with PS Vita and Wii U now, its really aggravating.

Anyway back on to the subject, I heard that Wii U also supports External Hard Drives and I spotted a pretty 1TB HDD that I want to get with my Wii U this Summer. So I was wondering could anyone confirm this? I know that 8GB sure isn't enough space for even 1 Full HD game like Zelda, especially with all the content they cram into those games.

I also wanted to know that If I'm using a Gamepad how long roughly does the battery last? I hate Xbox controllers and their battery/battery life, so my DS3 (Dual Shock 3) usually last me about a week of gameplay.

Um, the gamepad has a pretty short battery life. A ton shorter than the 360's controller. Mine dies in about 4 hours. And yes, the Wii U does support external hard drives. I have a 1TB one connected to mine right now.

Also try to ignore the doom and gloom people, all console launches start out rough

Especially take this advice. There are a bunch of doom and gloom people on here who believe the Wii U is doomed because it's off to a slow start. They'll be eating their words once the Wii U finally takes off when games are released.

There's issues like loading times that they're fixing this month, also apparently you have to add someone to your friends list

through miiverse and not through the actual friends list for them to get the notification. Also the no cross-game voice chat is kind of annoying.

Your Nintendo Network ID with all your e-shop games is also system bound, so that can be bad if your system breaks or something.

My personal favorite games on it are Monster Hunter 3 : Ultimate, Sonic & All Stars: Racing Transformed, New Super Mario Bros. U and Nintendo Land is a good game to play with friends. The new Need For Speed game that came out last month also looks really good, I'll probably get it soon.

My favorite features on it are Miiverse and Off-Screen play, also just having the second screen in general is great for a lot of games.

Also try to ignore the doom and gloom people, all console launches start out rough

#190558 Super Smash Bros Universe Graphics

Posted by Julio93 on 05 April 2013 - 02:33 PM

Hm, this looks good but the real one might look even better since Nintendo games on Wii U look absolutely stunning, such as the 'X' title that can run those graphics in a HUUUGE open world, the Yoshi Yarn looks amazing also, hell even Nintendoland looks gorgeous, but whatever it may be, it will always be perfect.

#164918 Why should I get a 3DS?

Posted by Hank Hill on 30 January 2013 - 03:28 PM

Well, even though you say you prefer more "mature" games, I'm going to just list the 3DS games that have gotten great reviews/are coming soon along with their respective genres and metacritic scores (when applicable.)

Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D - Action/Adventure - 94/100 out of 85 critic reviews
Super Mario 3D Land - Platformer - 90/100 out of 82 critic reviews
Mario Kart 7 - Racing - 85/100 out of 73 critic reviews
Professor Layton and the Miracle Mask - Puzzle/Visual Novel - 82/100 out of 53 critic reviews
Virtue's Last Reward - Puzzle/Visual Novel - 88/100 out of 12 critic reviews
Super Street Fighter IV 3D - Fighter - 85/100 out of 69 critic reviews
Fire Emblem: Awakening - Strategy RPG - 91/100 out of 17 critic reviews
Resident Evil: Revelations - Horror/Survival/Action - 82/100 out of 78 critic reviews
Kid Icarus: Uprising - Shooter/Action/Adventure - 83/100 out of 75 critic reviews

These are just a few of the titles worth getting on the 3DS, with many more I haven't listed here. Other games are coming to the handheld, which are as follows:

Pokemon X/Y
Monster Hunter Tri Ultimate
Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon
Animal Crossing: New Leaf
Mighty Mudds 2
Project X Zone
Ace Attorney 5
Professor Layton VS Ace Attorney
Professor Layton and the Remnants of a Lost Civilization
Castlevania: Lords of Shadow - Mirror of Fate

And there's apparently supposed to be a great deal more announcements coming throughout the year.

So yeah. BUY A 3DS. :P
