practically already known over 2 years ago by a close reporter running www.phoronix.com/
valve has officially opened up a blog about steam for linux at http://blogs.valvesoftware.com/linux/
shown to be already running native are the client and source engine for games like left for dead 2
in order to reach the goal to get the game running to linux standards, valve has gone so far to patch and fix part of the linux kernel, now thats some dedication
alongside this, hidden in the osx version of games lately updated are bits of code telling the game to run in "linux" mode, these are found in several popular source games like portal2 and teamfortress2
also rumored by a fan email, and not very suprising, steam for linux will be available before the end of the year
YAY

About Me
hi
ummm
hi again
this is a smily
Idk, i go here for the wonderful magical train that is composed of 99.98% hype (and .02 info) about a console i would love to get. (ok, a new computer might go first)
especially if Nintendo can pull off it's duel edged power/fun recipe that seems to be a main point.
Nintendo proves again and again its a console company and i like them over the other 2 consoles because they make sure to be separate from just a computer, and create an experience on its own that no matter how much someone can hate, is not the same as a computer
lets hope for a great console, and turn into a linux gaming website otherwise! *pokes feld0*

Xbox Smart Glass (sort of beat ubuntu tablet to it)

poor ubuntu linux
the free development team has been working hard on ubuntu for smart t.v. and tablet, coined to be connected devices, but as soon as this gets planned, the big boys microsoft seem to have already taken the lead in the idea to connect all devices alike.
they will be unvailing a universal pc to xbox360 (and perhaps later, xbox720) tablet software to run with android/ios, paving the way for connected tablet enviroments covering "computer hardware and software for phones, mobile devices, televisions, video game consoles, media players, and audiovisual devices."
this may not seem the biggest news but it is for me, connected devices really will be mainstream next year, the wiiu type of chat will be just a scratch on the surface, so for microsoft to make the first step really symbolizes another 5 years in which open source linux gets stuck in the dark.
yea yea, hardly connected remarks, but i have to say linux, its everything on my mind, other than wiiu of course XD
so, where can i hire a hitman^O^

should we have a pinned possible facts list?
29 April 2012 - 08:15 PM
it seems after this (probably not the last) leak, we should probably pin a rumored facts
(it is probably true but not really confirmed)
i seem to have some time on hand to be able to edit this post to every posters desire, and it seems we need something on this before the "good guesses" get burried
i can start us off, but i really got to sleep soon, have fun posting away every possible fact you know, remeber to add in the fact, the explination, the source of rumor (if possible) and the source of "true" evidence for or against the rumor
each possible fact will have a short discription, what it would mean, and the sources that back up this rumor (or sources that dont back up the rumor), along with being in its respectable column
most likely true (has "true" and confirming evidence, but is not officially announced yet)
possibly true (a good amount of "true" evidence but no confirming evidence)
IBM-based RAM - which should allow for 4mb cache per core (http://www-03.ibm.co...photo/34681.was)
concepted (possible to happen but with little "true" evidence{a single quote})
nfc "gamer card" - a portable device in which you can use very much like the 3ds street pass (source)
rumored (new or unplausable ideas that also lack of standing evidence)
