I'm not a huge fan of this ranking system as it promotes spamming, useless posts and posting for the sake of posting. (There are people on this forum who do it, you know who you are and we know who you are).

I know I'm new and all, but I do have lots of forum experience as I have been a moderator and staff member in other forums, so I know for a fact that this ranking system results in people boosting up their post count just to get ranked. (That wouldn't be so bad if the posts were actually good and not useless like some people do)

In my experience in forums, I have found that the best system for ranking is the "rep system". You gain ranking points accoarding to how many "rep points" you gain. Earning "rep points" comes from people giving a "like" or a "thumbs up" from your post.....this encourages well thought out posts, intelligent posts, funny posts, and contributing posts.

Just something to consider for the future of this forum, as LOTS of people will be joining soon when the WiiU comes out and spamming will be massive because of the current ranking system.

I'de like to know what you guys think of this idea, I'm open to criticism or counter arguments.

How can you honestly think that this list could make a good crossover beat 'em up game?

I will 100% agree with you  Fable, Gears and Halo, those are givens. Hell, I'll even give you Alan Wake and Viva Pinata and the rest of the RARE developed games on your list. Mass Effect would never happen, lost odyssey was an over-hyped game that face-planted with critics/gamers and roboblitz/toy soldiers/Splosion are a bunch of indie developed XBLA games that microsoft probably don't even know exist. An xbox version of a massive crossover game like a smashbros would suck....bad, much worse than a sony one.

As much as I dislike the idea of a playstation version of smash bros, the cast would destroy whatever microsoft could put forth.

Uncharted, Sly cooper, Jak & Dexter, Ratchet & clank, Resistance, InFamous, Twisted Metal, Metal Gear Solid, God of War, Killzone, LittleBigPlanet, Shadow of the Colossus, Ico, Heavenly Sword, Heavy rain....That is all that comes to mind; And I didn't even include future Insta-classic games like The Last Guardian an Last of Us.  




It's not even funny how much better that sounds than a microsoft one.

Haha, thank you. Yeah, I definitely had to take advantage that this forum is just growing. Come the WiiU launch, some sucker out there will be trying to use the name Zap, only to be disappointed.
