#208112 Not living the good life with these games

Posted by Ninjanuity on 17 May 2013 - 10:54 AM

super metroid was a great game looking back, but i tried to re play it a few years ago and couldnt really get into it. The metroid game that i probably enjoyed the most was metroid fusion. it came out for the game boy advance, same mechanics as super metroid, but better graphics, slight change in weapons, and different suits you could wear was pretty cool. so if your looking for a metroid game to re-spark your interest, id try that one

#208393 Physical VS Digital (New Super Luigi U)

Posted by Half on 18 May 2013 - 01:21 AM

June 20th and August 25th. Over two months.

For Europe (or at least UK) the Nintendo Direct said June 20th for digital, and July 26 for Retail. o3o
I would say it sucks for USA but... we usually ALWAYS get games later, so it makes a nice change to get a few things earlier.

#207134 A Valid Source Confirms the Existance of a Fairy Type, Other Info as Well

Crap, fairy type just doesn't do it for me. I wish it was light type, it would go better with the series. Although I take this with a grain of salt.

Posted by BlueBlur on 23 April 2013 - 02:33 PM

Bulbanews

A new special edition Pokémon 3DS XL has been announced for Japan. The design of the Nintendo 3DS XL is unknown but a poster shows that it could be based on Eevee. The release of this Nintendo 3DS XL on May 15, 2013 will celebrate the 15th Anniversary of Pokémon Centres. There will be raffle at the Pokémon Centres to determine who will have the chance to purchase the Nintendo 3DS XLs.

Spoiler

First Charizard, then Pikachu now Eevee if this comes to the west, Nintendo should seriously bundle all these Pokemon themed 3DS' with X and Y this holiday, 3DS sales would explode...Oh Wait?  Wouldn't that also hurt the Wii U?... Nevermine ^^

#176869 Games You Have Unfinshed

Posted by SoldMyWiiUAndLeftTheForums on 26 February 2013 - 06:51 PM

There are so many games I still need to complete but these are all the games that I can remember at this time:
The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword
New Super Mario Bros U
Pokémon Conquest
Final Fantasy XIII
Metroid Prime 2: Echoes
Professor Layton and the Mask of Miracles

I think the common answer to that question is at the point when you have defeated the Elite Four and Champion but I think a Pokémon game can never be completely finished because there are so many different things you can do after defeating the Elite Four such as making various team for battles, completing the National Pokédex or battling in game trainers in the Battle Tower/Frontier/Subway or Pokémon World Tournament.

Thanks for the tips dude, I suppose your right, Pokemon games are huge, there comes a point where you do have to say "right I think it's time to move on" I just wanna get as much done as possible, I can always come back and 100% it at a later date, however hard that may be.

#160653 Why Fanal Fantasy is dying

I personally hope they can get the Crystal Chronicles games going strong on the wii u. I loved the gamecube and DS games. Crystal Bearers has been the only real weak link so far. Give us a proper sequel to the gamecube game.

I've never played a main series game, but I do remember my friends as school always talking about VII but not being impressed with many past that. How different is crystal chronicles from the main series anyway?

#112701 My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic

Posted by Ixchel on 25 September 2012 - 02:14 PM

Hahaha if only that fairy tale opening was less of a turn off. I think I mentioned my experiences earlier, but I really agree with the post that says you need to at least make it to episode 3. I almost wanted to stop after the first but felt like it wasn't a fair chance because it was a two parter. The second redeemed itself a bit but I was still reluctant, which convinced me to give it "one more chance" with episode 3... Only to find me marathoning half of the first season in one go. xD

#105788 My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic

Posted by Hamez on 10 September 2012 - 02:59 PM

i personally think the show IS for young girls and not intended for anyone else to watch but go ahead if you want to watch it. i just find it wierd. like if someone whached the bratz show and said it wasnt intended for young girls lol XD same thing

its awkward to watch it in general if your not in that demographics of "young girl" because its not intended and made for us to watch it.

i still and always will think ponies are stupid and girly

Thank you for completely disregarding what I had previously said. Allow me to repeat myself:

1. There are no gender stereotypes involved in this show. There is absolutely nothing that appeals to only girls, other than your preconceived notion that ponies are for girls; which there are no longer. It's only in your mind...
2. The show was designed for viewership by adults. The creators wanted to include content that would satisfy the parents of children that would watch it with them and make it enjoyable to watch. And thus, the teenage and young adults caught on, seeing that it isn't bad.

Recognize the difference between fact and opinion. It is opinion that you don't like the show, it is opinion that I like it. It is fact that it was designed for viewership of all ages and genders. Surely you don't think there would be some kind of rationale to 1,000,000+ men who watch this.

As far as the Bratz show, based its wikipedia page, there seems to be several things wrong with it that contrast with My Little Pony. There is a huge gender stereotype that appeals to only girls, a very small set of characters, and a lack of diversity amongst these characters.

All it takes is a little research...

There was this other guy who raged on and on his hatred of ponies. No one though he would ever change, but guess what his channel looks like now? (He kept all of his anti-pony videos and comments, so you can see how he was a hater before)

And I also just realized there seems to be a similarity with people who think Nintendo is only for kids and Ponies are for kids... ponder that for a bit.
