 While this is probably a large factor, considering that at Best Buy, most players will only play the demo once, whereas at home they would play it repeatedly, which would probably make the flaws apparent. I think I know another reason why Nintendo is trying to put them in Best Buy instead of on your Wii U.

 We all have the Wii U. We own it, and we will most likely buy Smash Bros, Mario, etc. However, Nintendo has to market to the people who don't know what the system is, or people who are on the fence about buying it.

Why are expectations so high for retro's game?

What game have they made since metroid 1 that has been better than the games we get from the likes of crytek?

 

I think they're competent, and the amount of new hires gives me a bit of hope for a good game, but I don't think they're the best company ever who make the best games ever like the rest of the Wii U fanbase seem to think judging from the Internet.

 Well think of it this way.. They revived the Metroid series and innovated it in arguable the best games in the series. Although they've only made four games, (and helped out on Mario Kart 7) none of them have been a misstep. Great company.

 I'll try to update this list as more games get announced, but for now..

 -Lego City Undercover 

 -Pikmin 3

 -Wii Fit U

 -Game and Wario (possible)

 -Wind Waker HD!!

New 3D Mario game, Wind Waker HD, Lego City Undercover, Need for Speed, and Monster Hunter.

Outside of that! Nintendo does Nintendo Direct's and that's enough for me!

That just made my night, haha!

 Anyways, yeah, I think Nintendo Direct is enough. Smash Dojo is a great idea for the next Smash Bros., but with development cycles changing so often, it would just aggravate fans to see a feature removed that was originally in the game.
