Wii U Stuck On New User Setup

05 March 2014 - 03:29 AM

Hey Guys,

Hope someone can help with this because I've searched everywhere and there's nothing I can find for it.

My brother decided to get rid of his Wii U and he formatted it and took it to my store to trade in, now even though I watched him format it and it was 100% correct it didn't get turned off mid way or before it was finished it did everything it was supposed to.

Now when I got it here we still have to test the thing actually works, now it gets to the Setup New User/ Link Network ID and when I press Setup New User it gets to the loading screen on the Game Pad and just hangs there, the icon still swirls as if its loading and the TV screen still shows the info and I can scroll through the info using the Game Pad, there is still audio and if I press the Home button it gives me the icon that you cant press the Home, but that's all it does it will not progress through to that point.

Now I cant Link Network ID as there is no internet connection to set that up so ignore that option, even though I did try it and I get the same screen.

Is it bricked?

Just Saw Wind Waker HD In Person!

20 July 2013 - 10:02 AM

As the title post says I just came back from my local Comic Con in Manchester and they had this on show, along with Wonderful 101 and Pikmin 3.

All I can say is WOW, I love Zelda games anyways and I knew that WW would look stunning but I wasn't expecting that, Nintendo really have outdone themselves this time.

The graphics were amazing, very few jaggies, and I mean VERY few, draw distance was fantastic and there wasn't much pop up textures, actually I didn't notice any at all, the games overall upgrade looks nothing short of stunning, the colours were rich and vibrant, the effects from running, on grass, sand, and water were amazing, the effects from fighting were also top notch, the game looked a little faster, not sped up, just smoother, there was no slow down/FPS drop from what I could see, this is definitely the game you have all been waiting and praying for.

I can't comment on sound as it was too loud so nothing to say really.

I'll also mention W101 and Pikmin.

I only looked at these 2 briefly.

Pikmin, first of all I don't like Pikmin I never have and this game didn't sway me from that, it's just not my sort of game, I can't get into them.

Other than that though it looked absolutely beautiful, great colours steady smooth frame rate, I'm sure Pikmin fans will love it.

W101 is a day one buy for me, I've liked the look of it since I first saw it and it looked like a solid fun game to play from the brief look I had.

How is Monster Hunter Popular?

12 March 2013 - 02:01 PM

For years now ive seen the praise these games recieve and ive always passed on them, but i thought, finally a game for my Wii U, then i noticed a demo on the eShop so i downloaded it and thank god i did, saved myself some money.

The Graphics are sub par, almost late PS2 like, the gameplay is extremely dated, its slow and very sluggish, the control system was bad and the camera system was horrific, i just couldnt understand why it gets so much praise, i even tried both easy and hard modes on the demo to see if it was just me being picky so i spent a good 40 minutes on it but it was horrible, can someone please tell me what there opinions are on it please?
