You don't need one on launch day as all titles released on launch day can be played via the Wii U Pad but if you like playing on a traditional gaming controller more then by all means go for it. Wii U Pro Controller is a Day 1 buy for me.

In Topic: Does and External Hard Drive for Wii U need to be formatted to fat32?

The forums were built for chat like this and it's good to know these things ahead of time so when I get the Wii U and go to use my hard drive for the first time I don't get a message saying the hard drive is not in the right format. I would like to have my hard drive properly formatted ahead of time to ensure I can download games onto it on day 1. Formatting a hard drive can be time consuming if you didn't know.

I'm suprised no pictures or videos of an accomplishment system on the Wii U have been shown yet since the system comes out in about a week now. Wonder if any launch titles will have Accomplishments?

The reason I want to go digital is because in the past I had the habbit of playing a game, selling the game after beating it, regretting that I sold it because I want to play it again a year later and finally buying the game again! This will ensure that once I buy the game I keep it and then I will not be tempted to buy the game then sell it again. Also like the point UnchainedGoku brought up.
