Haha, if you didn't preorder, the only way you can get a console is going to a store that doesn't accept pre-orders. GameStop? No way. They've been sold out since September, you'll be on the waitlist if you ask to pre-order, and there are already 250,000+ people on the waitlist alone. Bestbuy has been sold out also. They won't make exceptions, or randomly give you a console. If you went to Nintendo World, you could get one, since they give on a first come first served basis. But that line will also fill, so you'd have to go a few days in advanced, and wait on a line for days. In other words, you won't get a Wii U on launch day. Sorry, I'm not either :/
I'm not so convinced as you are. Wal-marts, Toys R Us, Targets, K-Marts... Some of those places must have some Wii U's for purchase on release day... ?
