After reading all the great reviews on the forums I decided to pick up ZombiU both because it sounded like fun and seemed like a game that would catch my wife's interest and maybe pull her away from always wanting to play Super Mario u.
We started playing and essentially switch off every time our survivor dies and we move on to the next person. There are A lot of random things that I have slowly realized while playing the game but also more questions arise the more I play. Granted we are only outside buckingham palace (played about 2 hours and the wife is on a steep learning curve).
The one main thing I realized was how important keeping stuff in the backpack other than the absolute necessities is. I initially thought when your survivor dies if you go back and kill them you would be able to recover what is in the pack as well as what was equipped but that wasn't the case. Only the items in the pack are recovered,
So this brings me to my initial question (I am hoping this can become more of a tips and tricks thread for the game since info is scattered everywhere on the forum)
My wife pick up the rifle and some rifle rounds, equipped it and then died. How long, if ever, videos it typically take to find crucial items like this again? Is the game good about ensuring you will have the necessary tools and equipment to survive, or can you get part way through the game, lose everything and simply be overwhelmed with no chance of continuing forward?

Stuff I Found Out: 2 Gamepads
08 December 2012 - 10:07 AM
Well I am a bit disappointed and somewhat perplexed but nonetheless I figured I would share what I have found out through research and then trial and error about having Two gamepads.
I originally wanted to have 2 Wii U's, one in our family room for the family to play and one in our loft for the kids to play when we have people over or the wife and I want to watch a movie. The issue with this is because the Wii U is locked down where your ID and saves are locked to the console, any progress we made on one console was lost when playing on the other, hopefully Nintendo will wake up like microsoft did and allow cloud saves and your cloud ID so you can have multiple consoles.
Frustrating to say the least but since i bought the two consoles launch day and am still debating keeping both I decided I would see how/if two gamepads could be connected to the Wii U even if it wouldn't work when in games. What I have found is when you attempt to sync the second gamepad to the console it syncs fine, but it also unsync's the gamepad that was originally connected. So the console will not allow you to have two gamepads connected at one time, it isn't simply a game restriction.
So unless a future software update adds that functionality (which it seems like nintendo is saying it will not, at least in the U.S.) there is no point in having two gamepads.

Can I use regular headphones with my Gamepad?
21 November 2012 - 08:21 AM
I will be getting my Wii U this evening but thought of something now that I can't find the answer for. Most everything I have seen says you have to use licensed headsets with the gamepad. Has anyone used regular stereo headphones and does it work fine? What about regular stereo headphones with a mic for black ops 2 or mass effect 3?

So who is playing Black Ops 2? Whats the most people you have seen online at one time?
Excited to jump on tonight and play on my Wii U for the first time and get a good comparison to playing on my 360.
