My son got a Wii U for Christmas and we had a few people over to play it.  After a while people wanted to play the Band Hero game we had from the Wii so I put it in.  

The game plays ok in party mode but if you click on "Main Menu" it freezes on a screen shot of the crowd.  It freezes so bad that you have to unplug it.  

Has anybody else got Band Hero and could you try it to see if it works on yours?

I talked to Activision and they told me to send in the Disc for a replacement.  BUT since then I tried Guitar Hero 5 and it did the same thing.  You can play Party Play but if you go through Main Menu to play Quick Play it freezes.  

I think it may be something to do with the internet settings but I need to research exactly what.

I deleted the wi-fi connection in settings and the game worked without a problem (unless you want to play over the internet, then that's a major problem).  Re-connected wi-fi and the Freeze problem was back.  

Does anybody know what could cause this?  Could it be that Activision have stopped supporting it and the place the game refers to no longer exists?
