The surround output of the wii u is rubbish. I got a wii u today and will return it tomorrow. I game with a beamer, connected with hdmi and an excellent surround receiver but only with optical input. Well, nintendo forces me to replace my surround system or i have no sound at all. Shame on you, nintendo! No more nintendo for me under these circumstances.
