what hapens is that parents dont pay attention to the rating system and then get pissed off that their kids are imitating the game but instead of sitting their kids down and telling them right from wrong, the btch at the company and ruin it for everyone else bc apparently according to the parents, its up to the media to control and raise their kids, not them. why should they have to raise their kids when the media is there and is a great scapegoat for bad parenting? 

now you know how us gamer's in the EU feel, we always get everything last & it is always more expensive !

i do agree that violence in media could affect children that are impressionable but its up to the parents to teach their children right from wrong, not the media. also i still say, that if they want the wii u to really replace everything in the living room, that they should creat a media player to play a wide range of music files and video files (mp3-mkv) (most of my videos are in mkv so it would be nice). and the ability to listen to music and play a game at the same time.

What might help is if I tell how I got into monster hunter.  I'll put in a spoiler so as to keep this thread shorter.

I agree that violence in video games have reached an all time high and kids are extremely violent nowadays but it's not just games to blame, you can get a lot of violent stuff in films and especially the internet. Plus, kids should not be playing Call of Duty or Borderlands. I am a kid and I have never brought an 18 rated game and I do believe that a lot of people in my school are violent and aggressive.

 Each monster has it's own Top 3 time rank. Does that clarify the rules for you?

Won't that require an incredible amount of participants?

I'd say a smarter system would be to set up team divisions, like 2-person division and then make them fight a specific set of monsters, the team that beats the most monsters the fastest are proclaimed the winner.

So one team could pick Alatreon and the other team Great Jaggi. Obviously Great Jaggi team is going to win on the time limit, does that make them the winners?

Looking how the Wii U has already sold 2.72million out of its 4 million target already, they've got  8 months to make another 1.28 million on their first year target. I think Nintendo should raise their target far above 4 million and go for 6 or 8 million

They've sold more than that.  They broke 3M back in December.

Absolute rubbish. Comparing iPhone sales to that of a console make no sense what so ever. One is sold primarily on contract and the other isn't. Also if the number Routerbad quoted is true then the iPhone 5 has done a lot better them the Wii U has making your argument flawed anyway.


There is nothing stupid about them. Companies make sales projections all the time. Even Nintendo did for the Wii U and that doesn't seem like its going to come true.
