I've tried almost every single day ever since the update existed, (3.1.0 ever since July 10, 2013), and I cannot apply it to the system, no matter how many times I try to re-install the update data. I can't access the Nintendo eShop at all, because every time I try to go on, it tells me I need to update, which I cannot do.
I've looked online for the solution, and used the error code I kept getting (which is still '162-0002'), and the only answers I've found was
- Call Nintendo's customer service line
- Format the Wii U memory
- remove the SD card from the system
I've read into some other posts, and regarding the last two, there are quite a few people who says they have tried these, and still came up short.
For the Nintendo Customer Service, however, I've read a post on some forum site that someone had to send in their Wii U to Nintendo, and they weren't able to do anything for it because they (customer service) stated that there was some softmods applied to the system.
The original poster himself said he didn't have ANY sort of softmod on his console, not to the Wii mode or Wii U.
I'm scared of calling the customer service because they might say the same for my console.
Is there ANY sort of hope for me excluding having to buy another $400 Deluxe console? I can't afford to lose another expensive console due to updating issues.
