I've been loving this game, but there's been a lot of ghosting. So, I play mainly in 2d.

Daemon by Daniel Suarez. And, why ... well he takes a computer generated world and brings it into reality. Amazing writing.

I got Other M for Christmas. I thought overall it was a fun game, but I had several problems with it. First it's a dual layer disk. The only other Nintendo game that was released as a dual layer was Smash Bros. Brawl. If you played Smash Bros. Brawl without any problems then you should be good. But for me, sometimes it could read the disk and some times it couldn't. The game kept freezing on me. The early run of Wii's had a problem reading dual layer disks (mine included) so I checked with Nintendo and they said they would fix my Wii for free, even though it's like 5 years old. I sent it to them and they had it back to me within a week (props to Nintendo for fast service). My game was still saved on my memory card so I continued from the last point. I had a glitch that froze Samus (but not the bad guys) every time I would try to morph into the morph ball (really frustrating when it would freeze Samus in the middle of a fight). The only way to unfreeze her was to point the controller at the screen to pull up the visor. I found that if I jumped before morphing into the morph ball, it wouldn't freeze. So, I got used to doing that. I don't know if that glitch was because that game was started before my Wii was fixed, or if it was a common glitch. But, I don't think I want to play through it again to find out.

The other issues I had with the game is they do this thing just before you walk into an area that will trigger a cut scene where they zoom in on Samus and you can't change the camera angle and you walk really slow. I found that annoying. Also, at some points in the game Samus has to find something before the cut scene can continue. So, they freeze a scene and you have to look over the scene and move the cursor over something your supposed to notice. I had to look up online what I needed to mouse over, because I could never see the thing I was supposed to notice. I didn't understand why they just didn't do the cut scene without that because I felt that looking for something in that scene was so pointless. The cut scenes can be really long. Especially the last one. The game played from a fight scene to a cut scene to another fight scene without a save and I had to leave for work(I clocked that last scene at over 1.5 hours without letting you save), so I had to pause it and beg my wife not to turn it off for the day (which meant no Netflix for her or the kids).

So, is it worth $20? If you really like Metroid (which I do) and $20 won't break your bank then it's worth it just to play through at least once. But, you've been warned :D

I'm deathly afraid of being tickled with a feather.
