i don't use any streaming services, not many people do in the UK really, people can get sports scores online or on the tv they are watching the game/sport on, it all seems pointless to me, just like all that integration on the Xbone.

if it's free i'll have a go with it, but i don't think it will be any use at all to me, same as the tv remote control thing on the wiiu, that is pointless because here in the UK you have your tv on the channel the sky/cable box is connect to & you change the channels on the sky/cable box, you don't change the tv channel at all.

nintendo would be better off just making some apps for netflex if thats what people want.

But services like iPlayer, 4od and iTV player are hugely popular in the UK.

And Nintendo TVii would hopefully bring these all together into one place, along with Netflix and LoveFilm.

I dont have a sky or cable box so rely on these services to catchup on programmes, and having them all in once place, instead of having to watch them on my PC would be awesome

In Topic: Wii U HDMI Switch help

have you tried changing the Wii U output settings through the gamepad while it is plugged into the HDMI switch?

You could try and see if a different HDMI cable works with it, I have had problems before with faulty HDMI cables.

Have tried this, but the Wii U says there is no TV connected while it is going through the switch, so i have to plug it straight into the tv, change the resolution and then put it back through the switch to check it.

Its not the HDMI cable, it works perfectly when plugged directly into the TV.

Your switch wants an HDCP compliant signal, the Wii U doesn't comply to HDCP.

Maybe, but I dunno, that's a likely reason to me though.

hmmm... other people have said that switches work fine with their Wii U though.

Would a HDMI splitter be a better option? Or does that distort signals?
