Hi all,

I purchased the Mario Kart 8 digital download for the "bogo" offer thats going on until July 31st. After I downloaded the game I go no prompt for my free game code. I've been looking up and can't seem to find out how to get the free game.

EDIT: I notice the game says in the important information tab that you must link your wii u console with club nintendo in order to be eligible to receive the free game. Considering I was in the nintendo e-shop I thought I was good, then I noticed my club nintendo account was NOT registered with my console prior to purchase. 

Did I really just miss out on my free game because of some ridiculous technicality? 

Any confirmation would be appreciated.
