#298463 New Fatal Frame Trailer 9/19/14

Posted by JPMulvanetti on 13 September 2014 - 02:58 AM in Wii U Games and Software

Having a major boner for this game. We need another solid horror title on the WiiU, as there seems to be a major resurgence of horror stuff on other consoles. I'm finding myself starting into ZombiU again... make it happen, Nintendo.

#298462 Smash Bros for the 3DS - demo codes

Hey, I've got three spare European demo codes for Smash if anyone wants them? I've no friends to share them with... sad, I know.

#282400 New Fatal Frame WiiU

Excited for this, loved the PS2 games. Surely it has to come to Europe and the States?

#282399 Resident Evil 7 will be Revealed at E3 2014

Posted by JPMulvanetti on 23 April 2014 - 12:35 PM in General Gaming

Didn't Capcom say that their new framework for games was scalable? I'm not a tech guy for this kinda thing, but I thought it meant that it would allow their games to be ported across different systems at various levels of power.

Either way, I quite enjoyed Revelations on the the 3DS, and currently playing it again on WiiU. Never played 5 or 6, though it doesn't sound like I missed much. Will probably give the remake on GC a run through soon, too.

#277503 Wii/ guitar hero lag concern?

Posted by JPMulvanetti on 16 March 2014 - 05:36 PM in General Gaming

Hey guys, I figured you could help me here. We got an LED tv recently, and the other night me and the wife hooked up the ps2 for some Guitar Hero rocking out, only to find the lag so bad it was unplayable. Ok, so we figured, seeing as we have a Wii U, we could get the wii guitar hero (it's dirt cheap everywhere anyways) but I'm just worried we will have the same problem? Can you guys put my fears to rest?

#267783 Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze is 720p

Posted by JPMulvanetti on 21 January 2014 - 02:40 AM in Wii U Games and Software

Is Rayman native 1080p or upscaled?

**edit**

A very quick google tells me it is native. You have a point there, GAMER1984. I guess my original point is that once the game runs great, I really don't mind.

Give me 720p 60 fps over a 1080p stuttering mess any day.

#265544 Sega confirms Alien Isolation not coming to Wii U

Posted by JPMulvanetti on 08 January 2014 - 03:51 PM in Wii U Games and Software

I'm really disappointed with this news. The trailer looks good, my kinda survival horror. And by the looks of it, the Wii U game pad would have worked well with it. I know Colonial Marines was supposed to suck hard but this looks very different.

Maybe Nintendo can bash Sega across the skull with enough bags of money to change their minds.

#265411 Can we have a general SM3DW thread?

Posted by JPMulvanetti on 08 January 2014 - 01:32 AM in Wii U Games and Software

The controls/depth perception have thrown me off once or twice, but I'm putting that down to me playing 3D Land on the 3DS up until very recently.

Apart from that it's a beautifully designed game, and it looks fantastic too.

#265409 greetings from Ireland!

Heh, yeah, I know I missed out on the Wii, but now I can still catch up on all the great games via the Wii u, so I'm sorted. I even ordered the Silent Hill game the other day that came out for the Wii, looking forward to trying it out ;-)

#265275 greetings from Ireland!

Hi folks, I hope 2014 is treating you all well! so my awesome wife got me a Wii U for my birthday/christmas present, and for the first time in a decade I'm playing games within months of them releasing. It's a strange feeling, as I kinda skipped the xbox 360/ps3 generation and had still been getting plenty of milage from my ps2.

Anyways, so far its been an incredible experience, both my wife and I haven't had this much fun playing games in years, with both Rayman Legends and Super Mario 3D World putting the biggest grins on our faces so far. I've also been plugging away on AC IV: Black Flag, which is an enjoyable adventure.

This year with the 3DS has seen me getting back into gaming again in a big way. I'm a fairly nostalgic gamer (was only thinking about the first game I ever played on the Spectrum 128k today) and have all the major consoles still hooked up to a CRT from the NES to Gamecube era. I think I'm going to have a fantastic time with the Wii U over the next decade.

Anyways, enough rambling from me, nice to meet you all!
