So, the Wii U is almost here now, for some users at least, and I'm sure there'll be a few lucky users who get their console slightly early, so we now have an official thread for users who want to exchange their IDs. Feel free to post your ID once you have one, but please only post it once and try to avoid making any unnecessary posts that'll clutter up the thread.

As for the chatbox, I don't know of any option to ignore other users. If someone is spamming, all you can do is report them and if I think they've broken the rules, they'll normally be banned from the Chat.

And make it so that we can choose the colour we want?
Unfortunately, I don't think that would be possible, and if it is, it would take a lot of work to implement. We'll just have blue icons, as it fits with the theme of the site.
