Totally scalable but it's not being developed on WiiU? Is that the best they can come up with? -facepalm-

Comes down to money guys. They dont see the Wii U as being a good investment. They dont want to say that because it is blaming the consumer, and they dont want to do that, but the reality is their games havent sold well so far on Wii U, and the userbase isnt growing fast enough to think that releasing games later this year would be much better. I feel pretty confident that EA will be back once Wii U's usebase is quite a bit bigger. For example, if the Wii U has over 10 million units in homes this time next year, then EA will likely port whatever 360/PS3 games they are still making.

Their games don't sell well on any Nintendo platform.

Here is the reason some EA games won't come to Wii U:
EA isn't making a Wii U version of their game engine.
Not because they can't. Not because Wii U cannot "handle it."
But simply because they don't want to.
This was actually the most honest EA interview in I don't know how long.

Sounds like the new need for speed is moving to a different studio EA's ghost games in gothenburg with assistance from criterion. I guess this is due to the frostbite engine being used instead of criterion's inhouse engine.
The vita got a really excellent version of need for speed most wanted. Visually a bit weaker but basically the full home console experience on the go. I wonder if it will get a version of the new game and if so at what quality level.

Exactly. It still didn't state the reason I think, but at least they didn't lie.

This news doesn't really bother me since I prefer to play racing games with my PS3 Driving Force GT Wheel, especially the NFS series. Just means I can look at other Wii U games to get instead.
