E3insider.com is a site owned and operated by the organizers of the E3 conference itself.  They give viewers a backstage pass, so to speak, to all of the highlights of the happenings on the show floor.  They commonly list games that will be making an appearance at the conference on the site several days before the show floor opens, complete with a platform listing.

Activision Blizzard has been mum on whether their latest installment of the critically acclaimed Call of Duty franchise would be making its way onto Nintendo’s next generation system, but the landing page for Call of Duty: Ghosts on E3 Insider lists Wii U as one of the release platforms for the game.  This may ease the angst many fans of the series were experiencing as the announcements came and went without a single mention of the Wii U, and those fearing more backpedaling on support from the publisher due to lackluster COD: Black Ops II sales.

Given that EA has confirmed they will not be bringing their flagship first person shooter Battlefield 4 to the Wii U it would make even more sense for Activision to continue with their own support, and Call of Duty can enjoy very little competition from other similar games on the platform.

What are your thoughts on this revelation?  Will you be looking forward to Ghosts when it launches later this year?  Sound off in the comments below.

I peronally dont plan on buying since I dont enjoy FPS games (CoD in particular)

However many gamers enjoy the CoD franchise, and if this game results in more consoles sold then I'm not going to complain

Xbox was the go to CoD machine but now with all the hating on the Xbox One, it will be interesting to see if the CoD community flock back to microsoft or hopefully convert to Wii U

Nice. I'm not a huge fan of cod anymore but I might get it. I'm going to wait till I see the details of the game.

Good but I'll buy it only if the Wii U sticks are good enough for COD. I need precise aiming or else I suck.
No sig.

After the reveal of this game, I got a little excited about it. Normally I only purchase a COD game every other year, and since I purchased Black Ops II, I was going to skip the next. Not to mention the fact I try to support Tryarch, over Infinityward. But when they release more information on the game at E3, will be the deciding factor. But as of now, I plan to purchase this one.

I will only get it on Wii U if they confirm that DLC will come to it and/or if I REALLY like what I see at E3and I don't feel like getting it for PC :/

Revolutionary, isn't it?

Cry havoc and unleash the dogs of war!

At least there is support from Activision. Hopefully they include Destiny.

good chance for Nintendo fans to prove they'll buy more than Mario, Zelda, et al. and shore up 3rd party support

It severally depends on whether or not players will continue to have the option to use the Wiimote+nunchuck control setting to play Ghosts online. If they limit it to "driving tank" controls, it will lose the appeal of playing it on the Wii U system for me, personally.
