Well Reggie reconfirmed that we will be getting Wii U info even before E3 "Wii U news throughout the year, not just at E3" and GDC 2012 is like E3 just not as exciting and less game announcments. But GDC is more then 1 month away (March 5-9th) and Nintendo always has a live press conference, Nintendo really needs to start hyping up the Wii U even before E3 and GDC is the best place to do it, they should give more details about the online maybe announce 1 other launch title game, announce a closer release date, etc.

Sounds legit.

...but I'll only be really excited if I see battery life for the tablet, pricing on the system, and more games.

I figured it would be rechargable...I want to know how long it'll last though.

If you look at the bottom of the UPad, you can see an extension port that looks as if it can fit into a charger of some sort.

He is talking about how long it can last on a single charge.

Yeah, you've done a great job so far, letting the Metal Heads destroy the palace.

I'm with Arkhandar on this one. Either 5-8 hours or slightly more.

The only thing Nintendo has done to frustrate me so far with the Wii U is it's hype. Not many people are excited about it, know about it, or know its a whole new console. And if Reggie didn't flat out deny the wii u launching around E3, then why isn't Isis thing being marketed like mad right now. Hell, I keep calling stores to pre-order it and they aren't accepting pre orders yet and we could see this thing in 5-7 months from now.

Never argue with an idiot, they drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience.

At GDC I expect Iwata to give new details about the online and announce a first party title or 2 for Wii U at GDC.

At this point I'm not expecting anything. I'm just curious to see how Nintendo markets this console. Will it be a hardcore/mature console or more of a family console. Will they push games like grand theft auto. It's this easy.... If Nintendo announces grand theft auto 5 is coming to wii u with additional content plus graphical fidelity not capable on other "last gen" console. That right their will guarantee a great launch and put wii u in many hardcore/mature gamers home. They have been doing family games for ever so they can easily put a Mario party or something like that and that will take care of the soccer moms.
