Much much too late bad decision Nintendo your gamelist is already building up, but I guess they need time to work for games so they can have a proper lineup instead of the 3DS failure lineup.

I'm not happy for this for a few reasons:

1) I don't want to wait until holiday 2012 because that is too long and I am broke every Xmas because I buy ppl gifts, I won't be able to spend $400+ on myself

2) Nintendo needs to take advantage of the time they have the market to themselves. It's better to get 17 months of the gaming Marie to themselves instead of 12

3) the summer time is boring for gaming, and the wii u could fill the void by being released along with summer releases like Darksiders 2

4) Nintendo said all markets would have it by Xmas but at least one market will get it in the summer (Japan and/or NA).

Australia gets everything last do I think they will get it November 2012 but everyone else will get it in Augustish.

Let's also not forget that the Wii is virtually not being supported anymore so how bad will it make Nintendo look if they expect nobody to play their consoles until Xmas (their last major release being the Xmas before that, skyward sword)?

Investors would shoot Iwata for that.

Well in all fairness the wii still has a couple of good titles coming but yea for the most part its dying

Holiday season essentially means fall, so sometime after September. I've worked in retail and we generally hired the seasonal "holiday" employment in late September/ early October. I'm not saying that it's the same formula Nintendo classifies holiday as, but it makes sense.

I'd guess it will be sometime in October because they would be able to get a steady stream of purchases leading into the true holiday shopping season allowing for consistently high sales figures. Although if it ends up like the Wii did, it will be selling like mad for a year straight.

Yes. I could not approach a wal-mart or eb games for months when that happened. I laughed at those people though because I got one at launch haha.

By the way people lets not forget nintendo said the wii U would be out in time for holiday season.

NOT that it would be coming out in the holiday season. im taking this as meaning the wii u will be out with games by the time the holiday hits.

Which means we should expect this a lttle earlier than the holiday season or directly at the beginning. Though i still see this being released in september or even august.

From the looks of things, I think they'll be scheduling this out for fall. Possibly 'round the September-November time.

Well we never know because with Nintendo they can change things in a split second like how they are thinking of changing the name of the Wii U so I wouldnt hold onto this too hard either.
