Well guys, it's official! He is working on a new IP, that probably wont be a photo-realistic game. But still ... it's nice to know the legend is pumping out something that isn't Lugi's Mansion 2 or Pikmen 3 (which he is working on as well).
What do you guys expect and want from the Master of Games?

it's hard to doubt him but i really do at this point. its not as easy as people think to make the kind of jump he is making. you are talking about a console in the Wii U that is at "LEAST" 50% more powerful than ps3. it's hard to go from the wii which was basically a gamecube to that kind of power. i dont question his ability to make a unique and artistic game but can he bring it when it comes to the presentation is my question. can he step outside of his box and do something we dont even expect him to do that can take the gaming world by storm?

I honestly think this will be a fps. It's a gut feeling, but I do remember an interview at E3 where he talked about the new controller allowing for new styles of play like a first person shooter. I don't remember where I saw this or I would cite it, but it is a genre Nintendo lacks in and it is about the only genre he hasn't worked on so it makes sense... At least for now.

I don't think it week be a first person shooter. But if it is it won't be like any shooter the world had ever seen. I hope out is an rpg.

It is pretty hard to say if it will be for the wii u or 3ds. It may not even be for retail, but on the eshop or the wii u's estore.

It will be interesting and unique none the less what it is. I'm very interested in what he is going to make, what genre and who it will be played. Miyamoto said he dosen't like to make photo-realistic games not that he can't he just prefers to make something more unique that wouldn't work with realisim. That doesn't mean it wont be realistic it just makes me wonder more of what it will be.

It can be something with guns, but not a war type of game. It can be a non-dark shooter even less dark than metroid.

Has he bought any more pets lately? (some of his game ideas come from his pets Mario galaxy came from his hamster I think)
I hope he makes a game were your an egg and you have to collect cheese to get stronger, to open the fridge.

Man I've never been in so much doubt as a fan of his work. The hd market is totally different from handheld and casual market. I'm not saying he has to... But I would like to see Nintendo make a game that can revival the uncharted, bioshocks, mass effects, and skyrims of the world. I'm not sure if he alone can pull this off. He recently did an interview about how much he doesn't want to do the intense graphic games... He needs to understand that's what the wii u is a hd system. He needs to step outside of his comfort zone.

nah let him do what he wants, he doesnt need to step outside of his comfort zone at all. there are other people in nintendo who are willing to make those games, worst comes to worst, the third parties make those games 3rd parties do it really well, we dont have to get everything from nintendo, 3rd parties need our support
