No Visual Improvements for Darksiders 2 Wii U

Apparently, you will not be seeing any upscale of graphics or anything like that according to the director over the game (Donald).
“Uh, so far, so good. We have limitations based on Nintendo’s progress, but, you know, that really has, the only problem that’s been for us is, you know, not having an actual release date. But once we know when the Wii U has, when Nintendo has commited to a firm date, you know, we will be able to commit to a date for Darksiders II, but we’re planning on it being a launch title, and so far everything’s been smooth sailing.
“We got the game running on their hardware pretty quickly, and the controller’s been great to work with, now it’s just down to deciding what we really want to do to make it a unique experience on the Wii U. You know, taking advantage of you know the extra screen and the touch capability and all that. So, you know, so we’ll have a few new feature for sure, but I think visually, for the most part, it’ll be pretty much the same.
“You know, so far the hardware’s been on par with what we have with the current generation’s. Based on what I understand, the, you know, the resolution and textures and polycounts and all that stuff, we’re not going to being doing anything to uprez the game, but we’ll take advantage of the controller for sure.”

Considering that the original dev kit that they had gotten was likely on-par with this gens' systems, it probably wouldn't be up-rezed for what the system could actually do. Doesn't really bother me...wasn't planning on getting this anyway.
The post above was certified to be simply smashing by the Wii U Forum Staff.

-Most multi-platform games that third party developers make for Wii U will be graphically on par or slighty better visually than xbox360 and ps3(some have been in development prior to Wii U announcement and will put more time in controller funtions than graphics and resolution).
-Most Exclusive Games(minus mii games) will graphically "Nuke" ps3 and xbox360 best titles(more time to focus on Wii U graphics and screen resolution without worrying about porting graphics up or down to other consoles).
-Nintedo Network. It's strange that Nintendo is so tight lipped about their new network. I think Nintendo is aiming at more than just a bite out of Apple's App Store. Nintendo realizes that social networking is way to go. My theory is Nintendo is planning to connect it's users like never before. Two screens; TV and WiiPad. Farmville on the TV, Video chat on the controller(just an example). Do you see where I'm going? MMO's with multiple ways to communicate. Extensive online play beyond the level that xbox live can provide such as massive online tournaments with stats and scores streamed to the WiiPad(ok thats just crazy speculation). Either way Nintendo is on to something with their new network and to me maybe the most overlooked feature of the Wii U that hasn't had a great deal of rumors detailing it other than World of Warcraft(that would be insane and would sale the Wii U itself).
-App Store will take a bite out of Apple. Lets face it, apps rock. Not all. But if done right and filtered for junk apps, Nintendo has a great opportunity to make billions on cheap .99 cent apps that will occupy gamers while they wait on their favorite Wii U game to arrive.
I think Nintendo's in it to win it this time around.

Well the graphics may be on par, but do you get that awesome controller with the ps3/ 360 version?
i doubt this will be true as i expect alot more from the wii .
But if all it can offer is the same graphics and a tablet controller then im not impressed at all

It was unlikely that it was going to be significantly better looking than 360/PS3 anyway. My worry is that they're not even going to bother at all, and will deliberately just do a straight port from 360 even if the hardware is capable of squeezing out a bit more. You just know that some kid on Youtube is going to make a comparison vid and use it as "evidence" that Wii U is underpowered...

They confirmed that the Wii U version will have exclusive content the 360/PS3/PC version won't have.

Sure sounds like e3 moved, and appeared in Amsterdam 3 days ago.

I connected the dots in my above post for you.
Here's some of his comments in August 2011 in London, on the Wii U:
http://www.youtube.c...PT4K14K4#t=225s
Jist: Back in august they had v2 of the devkit, recently.
They had to make some adjustments.
They never planned to do anything but adjust the control scheme for Wii U.

Do you even pay attention before posting?
No offence, but it's right here in front of you in this thread.
If you bothered to read the text you wouldn't need to ask these questions.
