Looks like Nintendo wants to compete with Gran Turismo And Forza without using Mario Kart, I hope it's F-Zero or a whole new IP.

NOOOOO
Don't abandon F-Zero Ninty. I was just playing F-Zero GP for the GBA and it's amazing.
To be honest, F-Zero has SO much potential, it just needs to be done right.

I guess Nintendo wants there own racing simulator like the other two? While I'm all for this, I still wish they would work on bloody F-Zero! :P

Eh, this is the same site that brought us the Wii U eShop games rumour. I'd love for this to be true but until I see some proof I don't know if I should be getting my hopes up. Still, it's very likely IMO. :)

Nooo! just buy Code Masters and make them First Party. Code Masters makes better games than Gran Turismo and Forza.

or both :D Slightly Mad Studios doesn't seem bad they made NFS Shift, Shift 2, and Test Drive Ferrari Legends. I just love Code Masters more than them.
Holy Star I forgot about Criterion Games. Nintendo you must buy Criterion Games. :D

Code Masters and Criterion Games, Nintendo needs to buy one of them or both if possible.

I doubt it's true. They have to know fans are crying for an F-zero. Unless they have both.....

Criterion games is so doubtful. Codemasters and Slightly Mad make sense, especially Slightly Mad.

That would be cool, but I would rather have a F Zero any day.

I have never played an F Zero game but so many people have high praise for it so I'm all for it.

If true, they could make a new IP to grab that kind of audience while a different team works on F-zero

Guys, a racing simulator and an arcade racer are two different things. Developing this game doesn't mean F-Zero is dead, it's a whole other genre.

Never argue with an idiot, they drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience.

F-Zero is no Gran Turismo/Forza.

There is a difference between realistic racing simulator and futuristic arcade racer

I don't like racers, this game is geared toward to "hardcore" gamers, which probably won't bother buying a Wii U because their sense of self is so low that they need something called an Xbox or PlayStation to make themselves look cool.
Notice how everyone in this thread is immediately talking about buying companies(microsoft) and going "oh no! I want f-zero!" (nintendo), where are the sony folk?

I dunno what I mean, the game's just not for me, I'm in it for the platformers.

Trust me I tried for so long, they don't consider Racing Games "Hardcore" although it takes more skill than their loved FPS's
I'm here I'm the Nintendo and Sony Person, a dying species.

I'm going out on a limb and say we will see an f-zero gameplay trailer for 3ds at E3. It makes perfect sense with the 3d.
