I'd prefer an actual video game character with some history instead. I think it would be cool to see him as an assist trophy though.

He'd be cool as a trophy or sticker, but if he was a character he'd take a slot away from Starfy or Isaac or something. So no.

So long as there is a finite number of characters, He would take someone's slot.No he wouldn't, they could have many characters.
