According to Gamasutra, the Wii U will be supported with sports and family releases. Nothing beyond this for now, though.
When asked for his thoughts about Wii U, Take-Two Interactive Software chairman and CEO Strauss Zelnick said, “We haven’t announced anything. I’m skeptical.”

i would take watch dogs over grand theft auto... but nintendo beter make this right and get grand theft auto. this is by FAR the biggest 3rd party franchise out there. it sells like 20+ million every time it comes out.
Nintendo already took into account they werent getting GTA so thats why Miyamotos new IP is a GTA knock off with a Nintendo Twist

Doesn't that title belong to Call of Duty?

...they got TT games to make an open world Lego GTA rip-off exclusive to their consoles.Nintendo already took into account they werent getting GTA so thats why ...
I've done been saying this a while.
They're right to be sceptical.
Still, GTA would have been a great game to show people do buy proper games on Nintendo platforms, and it would sell on anything, because it's GTA.
There wouldn't be much risk to it.
But it's been in development a long time, so there was pretty much no chance of the Wii U getting it unless Nintendo was holding their hands and making it easy to get everything perfect and ported in 5 minutes.
It won't sell as well if it comes out later, but being a third party they obviously don't know this and will look to a potential failure as saying games don't sell on Nintendo consoles.

Never argue with an idiot, they drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience.

Granted, what this guy said does seem to significantly reduce the chances of GTA V coming to Wii U. I'd like to hope that it will at some point though, but it seems third parties will literally come up with ANY excuse not to support Nintendo consoles these days. There's a strong bias against them in several companies I believe, even EA and Ubisoft don't seem to be fully committed when we consider the fact that games like Dead Space 3, Far Cry 3 and Watch Dogs have pretty much zero chance of hitting Wii U..

I don't see why they wouldn't... Seems like bad business to me, no wonder people hate console gaming. To be honest, we haven't had ANY news on what platforms GTA V is coming out on. Take a look at the trailer. It's not even confirmed for 360 or PS3.

Nintendo systems for a while now have appealed more to casual gamers than anything else so that makes a lot of companies unsure of how well their game will do on Nintendo systems. If Nintendo attracts a whole lot more core gamers with the Wii U getting these games will be much more likely. To be honest, we haven't had ANY news on what platforms GTA V is coming out on. Take a look at the trailer. It's not even confirmed for 360 or PS3.

Anyone who doesn't want to develop for the Wii U is anti-Nintendo?The fact Take 2 want to go on record indicating there lack of interest in wii U shows an anti-Nintendo attitude though and clearly they are trying to damage Nintendo. They could have so easily shown interest but say no games are currently being developed for wii u. This would have been diplomatic at least.
