That's right, the guys who made the awesome Golden Sun, Golden Sun: Lost Age, and Golden Sun: Dark Dawn (Along with the Mario Tennis Series) Want to work on a Donkey Kong, to be more specific, a sequel to Donkey Kong 64!
----

Quote:

Out of Nintendo’s entire stable of franchises, Hiroyuki Takahashi has said that he’d be most interested in working on Donkey Kong.

The Camelot president told Nintendo Gamer in its July issue that the series “would prove really interesting” since its “games are full of surprises.” He pointed to Donkey Kong 64 specifically in his response.

Speaking of Donkey Kong 64, Takahashi noted that he “would love to make a sequel to it.”

Perhaps this could happen… one day. Camelot does have a pretty close relationship with Nintendo, though the company has mostly stuck to Mario Tennis and Golden Sun titles in recent years.

---
I think this would be great! I enjoyed DK 64, but I never finished it.
I wonder what they could come up with to make it better.

Not for wii u! They have little to no experience I developing for consoles for anything other than golf. Maybe if they did it for 3DS other wise I don't think so

If they worked alongside Retro than it might possibly work.
Loved DK64, not my favourite game but definitely left some great memories

I don't care who makes it just give me another DK 3D platformer. Well now that I think about it there are a couple of dev's that I wouldn't want working on it.

DK64 wasn't my favorite of the DK games, but it wouldn't be a bad idea to see another 3D DK adventure.

I hope it has different playable characters just like DK64.

I'm hoping for a 3D platformer rather than a 2D one. Man, how I miss Donkey Kong 64.

I wouldn't have minded, honestly. DKCR is one of my favorite games ever, Retro makes an incredible platformer. I'd rather them make a new IP, though.

I played the original game once at a friends house and it was pretty good and I wouldn't mind having it on Wii U. If the make a DK game for 3DS I want a Country game.

I'm all for a Sequel for Donkey Kong 64. I would mostly like a Donkey Kong Country for my 3DS.

I just don't get this. I've seen people saying this more and more recently. Since when is every 2D platformer nearly the same? Play NSMBW, DKCR, and Rayman Origins, then come and say that again. 'course, I may be a little bias, since it is my favorite genre.

I enjoy them in moderation, i would just like some diversity. i got NSMBW and DKCR and Kirby returns to Dream land and Kirby Epic yarn. (i don't own Rayman but Rayman is irrelevant since he is 3rd party) I just want Nintendo to release something different outside of a 2D platformer, i wouldn't even care if they made a Donkey Kong or Kirby 3D platformer just something different

Golden Sun Dark Dawn had the best graphics on the DS. (When you go into a battle, of course.)
