So with every new system, it usually takes a few months to years for a game to really blow the potential of a system open wide. So what do you guys think? Will we see a launch game that stands up through the lifetime of the system? or will we have to wait a year or so until the full potential is reached?

They all look good, but thats just the thing..no one knows what its truly capable of until we get that bomb dropped on on us, ya know? Pikmin 3 looks great, but then when xxxxxx comes out ...it can blow it away.

late 2013 is my guest if you are talking really mind blown its offical Wii U is next gen graphics. up until then you will see games that look considerably better but not ok this is next gen better.

If you say late 2013 then that means they have to already be making said game and if we go by that the only ones we know of that are making something right now is Retro.Then again maybe the game that will show it's potential is a whole new ip by a second or first party team.Ether way we'll get something on said game at the end of the year or beginning of 2013.late 2013 is my guest if you are talking really mind blown its offical Wii U is next gen graphics. up until then you will see games that look considerably better but not ok this is next gen better.

It is less powerful than the Atari 2600. Just modern engines make games look fantastic.

yeah thats at the eariest though... not saying its gonna happen. as much as people get on them Capcom probably has pushed nintendo console more than any other 3rd party developer (resident evil 4 gamecube and re revelations 3ds). if the hardware is there they take advantage of it. im also expecting battlefield 4 on Wii U to be lovely. the frostbite engine was designed for next gen. they should take advantage on the Wii U extra power over ps360. now my other game is watch dogs... man if ubisoft doesnt bring this to Wii U im going to be very dissapointed. i hoping they are secretly working on a Wii U version that will take advantage of its next gen specs.

no way, look at crysis 3 best looking 360 game ive ever seen and cant even touch pikmin 3 in the graphics department. trine two can be done on 360 because im pretty sure it was.Not really, it looks no better than an Xbox 360 game. Trine 2 looks really good.

For third party games we will probably need to wait for the other consoles to be released.
For first party games I'd say that the next smash bros will be graphically amazing, look at Brawl it looks like a 360 game. But Zelda and 3D mario should push the limits of the system
