You don't need a stand, the sensor bar has self adhesive stickers on either end. One of the reasons mine is also on the top.

Bottom, but mostly because our old TV had buttons on top. Now that we have a new TV though, I might put it on top... But yeah, I voted bottom.

Not got it set up yet but hoping to put it in the bottom of my screen. I noticed that it has sticky tape on one side to secure it & I was wondering if I stuck it upside down, can you calibrate it so that the controls aren't the opposite way round? If its upside down, would pointing up be down & vice versa?
