#100527 Wii u Pokemon style

Posted by ianh05 on 18 August 2012 - 05:39 PM in Wii U Games and Software

3D/HD version of red/blue combined with bonus content, and more story involving Brock/Misty (have then tag along with you after you defeat their gym).

#150768 New Idea! Wii U Dual Games - 2 games at once!

Posted by ianh05 on 22 December 2012 - 10:14 AM in Wii U Games and Software

Just the worst idea ever.

Really? I think it would be great for families and maybe even friends who don't want to play the same game. This way the console could be shared by 2 people.

#97146 My AMAZING uses for the NFC Sensor!

Posted by ianh05 on 02 August 2012 - 12:20 AM in Wii U Games and Software

Just imagine this, Super Smash Bros 4! Now with evn more characters but the only ones in the game are Mario, Link, Kirby, and Pikachu! So now you have to go out and buy more characters, Yeah! (my wallet is crying right now).

Skylanders works just because it's a full single player game so having 3 characters at the start doesn't hurt, fighting games on the other hand would have a difficult time trying to get additional NFC characters to work.

#92900 ZombiU Multiplayer Ideas

Posted by ianh05 on 10 July 2012 - 03:13 PM in Wii U Games and Software

Co-op in a survival horror game? where's the point in that? I'd rather be the only person alive against hordes of zombies instead of knowing someone had my back.

#135365 ZombiU 2 possible only if ZombiU sells well

Posted by ianh05 on 21 November 2012 - 09:30 AM in Wii U Games and Software

I'm gonna be honest here.

ZombiU looks good, but in the same time it looks like crap. '
I haven't played it yet so this is just what i think.

I love the horror aspects to it but it got some flaws from the look of it.
The graphics are crappy and the online is supposed to be bad. I also don't like how its so obvious where to go. They should have made it more freely.
What i don't get is why they didn't have co-op campaign. That would have added so much more hype into it.

But i'm still getting it. And if the first game turn up to be good, you bet there will be a second installment to the series ;)

graphics aren't that bad, it has no online (except the tag mechanic and leaderboards) nor should it, obvious where to go? have you played old-school survival horror games like resident evil? it's all about giving you no space and sending you down creepy corridors. Co-op survival horror? so you can have someone watching your back? no thanks, these games are meant to be single player and I'm tired of the whole "everything needs to be online" nonsense.

#93250 ZombiU Multiplayer Ideas

Posted by ianh05 on 13 July 2012 - 02:34 PM in Wii U Games and Software

I don't know if this is just me, but I feel like this game will be included or be a cheap downloadable title, not a full-fledged $60 game. Having a PvP mode is a bit of a stretch; co-op makes more sense.

1.It's a ubisoft game, we have only seen a demo so there will be lots more levels to the game.
2.Why do people think Co-op suits survival horror more then PvP? are gamers losing their minds as to what survival horror means? :( You are meant to be the only person against hordes of zombies adding one more person kills off a bit the horror and survival aspects. I see Co-op in ZombiU like this if Co-op is added:

Player 1 goes through backpack - "ok dude cover me, make sure no zombies try to creep up on me"
Player 2 stands guard - "no worries dude I still have some ammo, I got ya back"

*Shrugs*

why stick to basic figures when you can make them customisable?

example of this:

I'm all for collectable games as long as one figure/card isn't superior to any others.

I wouldn't recommend it for people with weak stomachs though :P

#97144 Leaked Wii U eShop Games!

Posted by ianh05 on 02 August 2012 - 12:12 AM in Wii U Games and Software

wasn't this a rumour from march or something? still if WoW was on Wii U it would be a huge advantage for Nintendo to have over other consoles.

#135218 Nintendo Land Unlockables

Posted by ianh05 on 21 November 2012 - 02:22 AM in Wii U Games and Software

but some people might play the game once and think that's all there is, I think this info needs to be out there as much as possible.

#141184 What Nintendo franchise will make best use of the gamepad?

Posted by ianh05 on 30 November 2012 - 06:25 PM in Wii U Games and Software

Metroid, a lot more can be done with it.

#135175 Nintendo Land Unlockables

Posted by ianh05 on 20 November 2012 - 11:25 PM in Wii U Games and Software

Metroid blast has 5-10 bonus missions from mastering all solo levels IIRC. DKCC has more stages then you think, when you beat the blue stage you go through the door back to red and it's a lot harder with parts missing etc. :)

#97043 Fifa 13 Wii U Features

Posted by ianh05 on 01 August 2012 - 12:29 PM in Wii U Games and Software

None of this is that innovative. This is what they put on the DS versions every year. They should use the Gyroscope and motion controls.

why is copying the DS a bad thing? think of the Wii U as a bigger DS with built in Wii functions.

#135898 To all NSMBU owners

Posted by ianh05 on 21 November 2012 - 10:03 PM in Wii U Games and Software

people usually tell you the average minimum time it takes to complete, if you take your time and enjoy the game instead of rushing through you will get more out of it.

#135888 IGN gives ME3 on Wii U a 9.5/10

Posted by ianh05 on 21 November 2012 - 09:33 PM in Wii U Games and Software

It means that IGN liked the game. Just because a game has some technical hicups doesn't mean it can't be 9.5 material.

it's a dodgey port of a good game, a lot buggier from what I've been reading so the score should be at least somewhat lower then the other versions of the game.

Please explain? from what I've been reading it has a lot of problems.

#133850 Wii U hackers supposedly find unannounced Wii U titles

Posted by ianh05 on 19 November 2012 - 04:17 PM in Wii U Games and Software

http://wiiuhacks.com/
Taken from article:

"Yoshi’s Island Wii U and Soul Hackers, ”Metal Gear Solid” and “Resident Evil”, and a new Pokemon were leaked from this hack. Nintendo was not intending on releasing these until at least December 10th 2012."

Do you think this is real? And would you be interested in any of these games?

pokemon and MGS would be amazing with the gamepad if they use it as a pokedex/codec, not to sure about the others.

#137699 Gamester81 Reviews the Wii U

Posted by ianh05 on 24 November 2012 - 09:46 PM in Wii U Hardware

That was a little harsh. It seems like they weren't even nintendo fans anyway.

He's been collecting many consoles and games for many years including NES, SNES, N64, Gamecube and Wii. I subbed to his channel because I thought I could get good honest reviews without bias towards any system, turns out I was wrong... ever since this other guy showed up he seems to be different.

#138783 NintendoLand DLC

Posted by ianh05 on 26 November 2012 - 08:31 PM in Wii U Games and Software

for a pokemon attraction I was thinking of a hot-seat style pokemon trading card where you don't see the other players cards by passing them the gamepad when it's their turn.

#138323 NintendoLand DLC

Urban Champion. Go around the plaza trying to find ways to kill things because it sucks so much. Multiplayer attraction.

what sucks?

#137359 Gamester81 Reviews the Wii U

Posted by ianh05 on 24 November 2012 - 07:51 AM in Wii U Hardware

Pretty harsh review. I've been subbed to his channel for awhile now and he seemed like a trustworthy source for reviews until they said the update was 5gb, it was just an updated wii and called the gamepad gimmicky.

He's a game collector and has one of the biggest collections which includes many rare and retro systems.

#138311 NintendoLand DLC

Posted by ianh05 on 26 November 2012 - 03:51 AM in Wii U Games and Software

What future attractions do you want to see in Nintendoland? keep in mind they are most likely only going to be based on Nintendo games. Here's a couple to get the list started:

1. Duck Hunt - The classic NES light gun shooting game.
*Solo attraction.
*Use the gamepad as a scope and shoot clay ducks.
*Stamps could include - Quick shot (speed clearing a level) and sharpshooter (100% accuracy on a level).
*Should feature the laughing dog.

2. Excitebike - Classic NES racing game.
*Competitive attraction.
*Players 2-5 control the racers with the Wiimotes.
*Player 1 creates the track using the gamepad.
*Players 2-5 have 1 life and lose it upon crashing.
*Player 1 wins if no one finishes the race.

I'll try and keep this post updated with everyone's ideas.
