I've not been this excited about a game since the original Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic on the xbox! the more i see of zombieU the more i want it and the waiting is becoming unbearable! (must stop watching all the vids lol).

Jaguar, cd-i , dreamcast and Amiga cd32 are ones that spring to mind, never really had a chance to shine. Jaguar had some cool games, and the cd add on might've helped it but was released too late that nobody actually noticed it was out there, cd-i was woefully underpowered when it was released, Philips never really knew what to do with it, again some cool games for it (Burn Cycle was cool), the dream cast had loads of cool titles but people seemed to be more into Sony by then so it's life was cut short, and the cd32 could've been so much more, it could do 3d graphics (kinda) & had a fair bit of grunt under the hood for the time, but all devs did was release standard Amiga 600 and 1200 games on it with maybe a fancy intro tacked onto it! I owned each of those systems and loved them all, shame they didn't last a bit longer.

The Wii U can play virtually all Wii games and yes it can use the classic controllers and all other first party controllers like the balance board etc."

good to know, saw a couple of classic controllers for wii going cheap in C.E.X. yesterday, might go back today and get them.

If those idea's arn't in the game already they are really good, does anybody know how big this game actually is?

well the disc's about 4 - 5 inches across if that helps

no, seriously though, assuming you mean in Gigabytes then, the discs hold , what, 20 - 25 gb? i bet its 7 or 8 gb at a guess? based on nothing more than a random guess. that and most 360 games fit on a dvd (max 9 gb dual layer), if you meant in play time...no idea lol.

i dont know if they would work out so much. You need safe houses to save and what not so it would have to be in a city. Also most zombi movies are in citys so because its more people to be turn. Its possible but i think just easier to be in a city.

Yes and no. If they did it could make the game a lil tricky because zombies could come from those other routes too.

4. that was sort of my point, people who seem to hate the game just don't get it, they want it to be or expect ti a fps so i thought make easy chicken pansy mode more like a fps with more guns ammo health etc, so the haters can play it thier way. dont dumb it down as such but just make pansy mode more like thier idea of what zombie u is? and have normal and hard modes play as it does normally for those of us who actually get what the game is. it should appeal to most people then. possibly?

3.maybe thats what the farmhouses dotted around the countryside could be used as? also once you got to a village or town there'd be safehouses there too of course.

2. thats a possibility i suppose, multiple routes = multiple ways for the zombies to get you, but i was just thinking along the lines of, what if you wanted to play it sneaky like? not get into confrontations with zombies? the choice to sneak around them or try another approach appealed to me. i know you can use flares to distract them, keep them in the game obv. but also multiple routes too seemed like a winner also?

I realise that Zombie U isn't even out yet in some countries, here in the u.k. for example, but i was thinking about what i'd like to see in a possible sequel earlier today and thought i'd throw it open to you guys. what would you like to see (sensible answers if possible please......unless its REALLY funny! lol)

Heres a couple i thought of (as i mentioned i dont have the game yet, so if any of my ideas ARE in the game , yay!)

1. improved graphics. Bit of a no brainer really as it'd be a sequel, the devs would have figured out how to do more with the U's graphical cababilities.

2. multiple paths through levels? i keep seeing in vids the bit in the game where you go over a fence, fight a group of zombies then open / close a door that sets off an alarm? using that as an example, i thought it'd be good if you could have , maybe, found other ways in to the building, like a fire escape, through a broken window, or another entrance round back, so you didn't have to go over the fence, and could have avoided the zombies, you could've been sneaky like.

3. maybe set it in the countryside or similar? travelling from small town / village to small town / village, coming across farmhouses scattered about the countryside, sneaking across wide open zombie infested misty fields, dense woodlands (at night perhaps? moonlight shining through the tree tops, you ever been walking through woods at night? its creepy enough WITHOUT zombies!).

4. maybe make easy mode more like a FPS, for those people who STILL DON'T GET WHAT TYPE OF GAME ZOMBIE U IS!!

anywho, what are you guys thoughts?

Not sure why you would think a different HDMI cable would give a better picture. HDMI cables are all the same quality whether they cost 99p/99 cents or £100/$100.

I've been telling people this for AGES! It was confirmed a while ago during a test on some gadget programme on tv, they tested identical top end HDTV's running an identical bluray movie on identical top end players, all the tvs and players were set up the same (picture settings etc) and they tested hdmi cables ranging from a fiver up to 150 quid, i think it was, and they stated there was no difference, or if there was it was pretty much unnoticable.....i still buy reasonable priced ones though lol, just in case, but saying that my folks hdtv n bluray player are connected via a 99p hdmi cable and it looks great!

My nephew is coming over on wednesday, naturally i want to show off the wiiU and he'll undoubtably want to play ZombiU, and i think he'll need to play from the beginning to get the full experience, so if i let him start a new game from scratch, will it delete or overwrite MY game save? or can u have more than one game saved at a time? Ive already died about 6 times and have only got upto being sent to buck house, and i don't want to have to start again myself from scratch!

Good idea, think that's what I'll do, you really need to start from the beginning to really appreciate ZombiU, that and I want to see how he copes with the opening no weapons just run scene, he's probably gonna die straight off lol.

Agreed, if you want your games to look really pretty, buy a decent pc, if you just want great fun with GOOD graphics buy a wiiU...or 360...or ps3. i HAVE got a decent pc, (i7 2600k @3.4ghz, 8gb ddr3 ram, nvidia 560ti graphics card) but rarely use it for games, it just doesn't feel right gaming on pc i have no idea why, just prefer consoles for gaming. i have fallout 3, skyrim, mass effect 2, and aliens vs predator for my pc and i have played the xbox360 versions MUCH more than the pc ones. i do like the fact you can mod most pc games though, Skyrim can look REALLY pretty with mods. if the next consoles would allow that, then my pc would hardly ever get used!

Just pre-ordered the dedsec version. For xbox360, will probably cancel it if the ps4 is out around then coz I'll buy it for that instead. And I'll maybe get the regular wiiu version for comparisons sake.

I realise that graphics will continually improve throughout a games development, but i think the difference seemed more impressive to me because although i have been following this game since its announcement, all the pics n vids etc that i've seen had all shown different parts of the game, it was only when i recognised this part as being the same part from the e3 demo that i really NOTICED the difference!

Was just watching an old e3 demo vid of zombie u, the one set outside buckingham palace? when i realised just how much, imo, the graphics had improved since then! took a couple of screenies from that vid and a new(ish) walkthrough one and it looks SO much better now. (note the fog! pics dont really show off the weather and lightning / lighting effects all that well but still much more atmospheric imo) i know thats how it should be seeing as in the first vid the game was nowhere near complete, but i hadn't realised just how far it had come since then. Have a butchers and see what you think. (god i really need this game and me wiiU! its getting SO hard not to watch ALL the vids on youtube and totally ruin it for myself lol! come on 30th!!). e3 demo pics are the left hand ones.

How can ZombieU NOT be a success? Its the best game of the launch line up!......apart from Assassins creed, nintendoland, batman, mario,......erm..yeah..didn't really think this through did i?....anywho im sure it'll sell well enough to warrant a sequel! also this game is the reason i'm buying a U!

Was gonna download AC3 from the ESHOP today, but at that price they can feck right off! You can get it for £35 in some stores or online if you shop around, I was only doing eshop coz no buses are running today near me so I can't get into town, why Ninty why?? Who's going to be daft enough to dl it at that price? At this rate I'm never gonna be getting any wiiu games off the eshop. Was looking forward to playing that n'all.

And you're surprised by this why ? Honestly you must have been living under a rock for the past few years. This isn't the first time a digital version of a retail game costs more then the physical copy. It's typical of most digital retail games on all console platforms. I'm not saying its right or justifiable but It's normal. Apart from the fact that publishers don't want to p**s off the retailers there are certain market forces that dictate retail prices that cannot affect digital downloads. Besides you're also paying for the convenience. As you say you can't get into town and they're offering you a way to get it right away. Anyway where have you seen it in local retail for that price. Everywhere I've looked it's at least £45.
