#111145 Sleeper hit and bust of the launch lineup

Posted by coolsarahkry on 21 September 2012 - 04:22 PM in Wii U Games and Software

zombiu can't be a sleeper hit because it's the most anticipated wii u game.
Mario can't because it's mario.
nintendoland might count, but it's a pack-in which might disqualify it a little.

hit: Scribllenauts
bomb: Zombiu

I agree.
however I think the hit will be nintendoland and the miss will be zombiu

#111088 Awesome Mario themed bathroom

Posted by coolsarahkry on 21 September 2012 - 02:10 PM in The Café

I'd rather have a themed room than a bathroom, but still awesome! I think they didn't show the rest because it wasn't decked out.

#110674 I just can't support most of the launch titles...

Posted by coolsarahkry on 20 September 2012 - 04:04 PM in Wii U Hardware

I just wish Pikmin 3 were a launch title. I can only get one game on launch day, and for now it's going to be Scribblenauts Unlimited (and nintendo land), but if I could get Pikmin 3 there would be no question that would be the game I would buy.

#109736 Wii U packaging shows, "Wii U Chat"

Posted by coolsarahkry on 18 September 2012 - 04:08 PM in Wii U Hardware

I would chat with people I know. I hope they offer instant messaging without video.

#109731 Analyst thinks Nintendo will sell 10 million Wii U's in it's first 14...

Posted by coolsarahkry on 18 September 2012 - 04:02 PM in Wii U Hardware

all i want is for the supply to meet demand, what a shame it would be if there was more than 10 million demand but they couldn't make enough in time

yes

#109642 Whats the age range

Posted by coolsarahkry on 18 September 2012 - 01:54 PM in The Café

No kids go to midnight launches. If you do end up going you'll likely see a lot of people around 18 to 25, maybe even older. Kids have to go to school in the morning, you see. :P

I'm 16 by the way.

14 :) And if there were a midnight launch it would be sat morning-sunday night so we wouldn't have to go to school. I might go to the midnight launch, but probably not unless I can get some friends to come with me.

#108826 Wii U delux sells out at Bestbuy online store

Posted by coolsarahkry on 16 September 2012 - 05:46 PM in Wii U Hardware

EVERYONE if you haven't yet preordered it is obviously vital that you do it now if you want it at launch! GOOO!!!

On a side note, I'm very happy the wii u has had such a great success.

#108719 Nintendo Land, Nintendo's Best Advertisement Ever

Posted by coolsarahkry on 16 September 2012 - 02:31 PM in Wii U Games and Software

I didn't think of that! But this game is going to be like a nintendo heaven. I've never played Metroid, but the minigame for it looks really fun! The pikmin game looks fun too.

#107980 Everything at Wii U launch

Posted by coolsarahkry on 15 September 2012 - 08:32 AM in Wii U Hardware

I wish Pikmin 3 were a launch game. It would be no question that THAT would be the game I would buy.

"Launch window" is too vague.

#107959 Nintendo Land and NSMBU boxarts

Posted by coolsarahkry on 15 September 2012 - 07:50 AM in Wii U Games and Software

Here's a bigger version: Posted Image
It is messy, but I like the detail of it. It's good. Also, see that screen with a hand on top of the gamepad? He looks like the tutorial guy. I don't like his bowtie and his floating hat, though.

I can feel it. This system is going to get a lot of support. Nintendo's done it.

64 days to go.

#107696 Nintendo not allowing photos of the Back of the Premium console

Posted by coolsarahkry on 14 September 2012 - 05:34 PM in Wii U Hardware

Maybe they just want something else to reveal before launch.

#107622 What games did U pre-order?

Posted by coolsarahkry on 14 September 2012 - 03:20 PM in Wii U Games and Software

Scribblenauts Unlimited-but I wish Pikmin 3 were a launch game!

#107616 Pokemon: Mystery Dungeon: Magnagate and the Infinite Labrynth Coming to the 3DS

Posted by coolsarahkry on 14 September 2012 - 03:01 PM in General Gaming

Are you serious, you can only play Pikachu?

I'm excited for this, though. I LOVED explorers of sky. But...the 3d style will require some getting used to.

#107614 What I learned from pre-ordering the Wii U at gamestop

Posted by coolsarahkry on 14 September 2012 - 02:58 PM in Wii U Hardware

I preordered the premium version. Thank you SOOOOO much dUstin I would not have gotten the black premium without this important info!

I preordered Scribblenauts Unlimited, and am hoping to get nsmbU and pikmin 3 for christmas. I don't have enough money for paper mario: sticker star so I'll be asking for that for christmas too.

#107497 IMPORTANT: IF YOU ARE GOING TO PRE-ORDER THE PREMIUM EDITION

Posted by coolsarahkry on 14 September 2012 - 12:15 PM in Wii U Hardware

oh my god, I'm trying to call gamestop to ask them if this is true, but they aren't picking up, the recording says they might be on hold! UGH pick up!

#106583 Video chat

Posted by coolsarahkry on 12 September 2012 - 01:57 PM in Wii U Hardware

oh yeah. Well, take this as a reminder. And don't forget that I said maybe games can be paused at any time to add a message to miiverse, which would be awesome.
I love that commercial, btw.

#106575 This game should be on wii u

Posted by coolsarahkry on 12 September 2012 - 01:45 PM in Wii U Games and Software

New? NEW you say? Well, step right up and try NEW Super Mario Bros. U! :)

I'm kidding.

Oh my god before you got to the nsbu part I thought you were going to go on a mother dogy rant. Phew. And I mean 3d mario, of course. And although I love the 2d mario's style, I like how 3d changes things up every game. They've been using 'new' since 'new super mario bros' (that's what it's called, right?)

#106567 This game should be on wii u

Posted by coolsarahkry on 12 September 2012 - 01:37 PM in Wii U Games and Software

I would be dissapointed with another galaxy...I'm tired of that style. It was amazing, but I want something new.

#106565 New Wii U box art

Posted by coolsarahkry on 12 September 2012 - 01:35 PM in Wii U Games and Software

I wish that was real. It's better than the real box art, but it is very obviously fake because nintendo has already confirmed the blue one.

There is real pikmin box art...?

This is so fake it hurts. It looks really bad and blurry.

#106564 Video chat

Posted by coolsarahkry on 12 September 2012 - 01:33 PM in Wii U Hardware

Now, I am not sure if this has already been confirmed or not, but now it definitetly has. Nintendo confirmed video chat on their website: http://www.nintendo.com/wiiu it's at the bottom.

Here's a copy paste:

Wii U Features

In addition to introducing new ways to play, Wii U also offers users a variety of non-gaming features to enhance the overall experience.
  • Miiverse: Miiverse is a brand-new network communication system that lets gamers from around the world share experiences, discuss games and discover new content. Using their personalized Mii character, players enter Miiverse and see games, applications or entertainment content that either they have interacted with recently, expressed interest in learning more about or that their friends are using or discussing. From here they can challenge their friends to play together, ask a question about a difficult level or discover new elements of their favorite games they never knew existed. After a notable achievement or other share-worthy moment, players can pause their game or application and seamlessly post messages to the Miiverse community.
  • TV Remote: The Wii U GamePad controller may also function as an infrared TV remote, whether users are watching TV or playing a game.
  • Near Field Communication (NFC): The Wii U GamePad has the ability to communicate wirelessly with objects that are held above it. This allows for a variety of interesting new possibilities for games and activities.
  • Nintendo eShop: The digital storefront for Wii U will be available at launch and offer a variety of content for people to download and enjoy. Consumers will also be able to purchase and download select games that are also available at retail stores.
  • Video Entertainment: Nintendo is working with Netflix, Hulu Plus, Amazon Instant Video, and YouTube to bring video experiences to Wii U that will take advantage of the integrated second-screen experience. Additional details will be released at a later time.
  • Video Chat: Using the built-in camera of the Wii U GamePad, people can communicate with other Wii U owners in real time.
  • Internet Browser: Wii U comes with a browser that lets people with a wireless Internet connection surf the Internet from the comfort of their couches.
It also seems like you can pause the game at any time to add a message to miiverse.

#106271 Still think Nintendo Land will cost money?

Posted by coolsarahkry on 11 September 2012 - 05:19 PM in Wii U Games and Software

please be with the system. I won't buy it separately.

#106268 Do you think the game pad should have been an optional extra?

Posted by coolsarahkry on 11 September 2012 - 05:14 PM in Wii U Hardware

Nope. I think the gamepad was a good move on  nintendos part. New and unique. I was weirded out at first, but now I think it's really cool, especially since you can play some games on the gamepad itself. The gamepad will also make the casual gamers see a clear difference in gameplay.

I'm hoping when I invite some of my casual gamer friends over, they'll like the console and will ask their parents for it.
