Now, I am not sure if this has already been confirmed or not, but now it definitetly has. Nintendo confirmed video chat on their website: http://www.nintendo.com/wiiu it's at the bottom.

Here's a copy paste:

Wii U Features

In addition to introducing new ways to play, Wii U also offers users a variety of non-gaming features to enhance the overall experience.
  • Miiverse: Miiverse is a brand-new network communication system that lets gamers from around the world share experiences, discuss games and discover new content. Using their personalized Mii character, players enter Miiverse and see games, applications or entertainment content that either they have interacted with recently, expressed interest in learning more about or that their friends are using or discussing. From here they can challenge their friends to play together, ask a question about a difficult level or discover new elements of their favorite games they never knew existed. After a notable achievement or other share-worthy moment, players can pause their game or application and seamlessly post messages to the Miiverse community.
  • TV Remote: The Wii U GamePad controller may also function as an infrared TV remote, whether users are watching TV or playing a game.
  • Near Field Communication (NFC): The Wii U GamePad has the ability to communicate wirelessly with objects that are held above it. This allows for a variety of interesting new possibilities for games and activities.
  • Nintendo eShop: The digital storefront for Wii U will be available at launch and offer a variety of content for people to download and enjoy. Consumers will also be able to purchase and download select games that are also available at retail stores.
  • Video Entertainment: Nintendo is working with Netflix, Hulu Plus, Amazon Instant Video, and YouTube to bring video experiences to Wii U that will take advantage of the integrated second-screen experience. Additional details will be released at a later time.
  • Video Chat: Using the built-in camera of the Wii U GamePad, people can communicate with other Wii U owners in real time.
  • Internet Browser: Wii U comes with a browser that lets people with a wireless Internet connection surf the Internet from the comfort of their couches.
It also seems like you can pause the game at any time to add a message to miiverse.

oh yeah. Well, take this as a reminder. And don't forget that I said maybe games can be paused at any time to add a message to miiverse, which would be awesome.
I love that commercial, btw.

#231777 Anyone looking forward to Paper Mario for Wii U?

Posted by coolsarahkry on 15 July 2013 - 10:41 AM in Wii U Games and Software

Yes I want it! Don't be negative just b/c the last game was bad! I want another game like the first 2, or even like Super Paper Mario which wasn't that bad.

Those graphics would be beautiful!

#230564 What is your favorite 3DS color?

Posted by coolsarahkry on 10 July 2013 - 03:56 PM in General Gaming

I got the Zelda 3ds (love it!) and the Blue 3ds xl.

I love them both the most, but I chose the Aqua blue 3ds b/c it looks pretty in the picture. Blue is my favorite color.

#105259 Amazing final cover of Nintendo Gamer

Posted by coolsarahkry on 08 September 2012 - 12:56 PM in General Gaming

I hope they announce pokemon 3ds or something! Although, pretty unusually to announce a game by magezine.

#208563 How is Pikmin 3 Interesting?

Posted by coolsarahkry on 18 May 2013 - 02:18 PM in Wii U Games and Software

It's about the strategy and speed you use to get to the items and take down the enemies. Killing the enemies gives you more pikmin which help you get to new areas faster. You can choose a lot of different paths to go on. It's really, really fun, and I think Pikmin 3 will be the best game this year.

#199425 Wii U Is Just Fine

Posted by coolsarahkry on 24 April 2013 - 05:17 PM in Wii U Hardware

So when the PS3 sells bad it's horrible, but when the Wii U sells like this it's just fine?

Our point is the wii U has a chance to be as popular as the PS3.

#232594 Should Nintendo have offered Wii U owners an Ambassador Program?

Posted by coolsarahkry on 17 July 2013 - 07:02 PM in Wii U Games and Software

I hope they give us something like that, but at the same time I don't know if it's really necessary. We're not really losing anything if we would have bought it later anyway(unless they drop the price).

#133586 Will we ever see a gay hero in a high production game?

Posted by coolsarahkry on 19 November 2012 - 11:31 AM in General Gaming

This is different, but I noticed in scribblenauts you can give a wife to a lonely female ghost who wants to have a wedding, and it works. They didn't have to do that, but it was nice.

Paper Mario and 007

#230841 Do you think Nintendo games overshine 3rd party games on Nintendo consoles?

Posted by coolsarahkry on 11 July 2013 - 03:56 PM in General Gaming

I've been playing pretty much nintendo-only my entire life, but for a few games(kingdom hearts, okami). Nintendo games always seem to outshine other 3rd party games. I also have Scribblenauts on wii u(although I kind of want to trade it in or something, as it doesn't have much replayability).

#102712 Multiplayer Idea for 3D mario

Posted by coolsarahkry on 28 August 2012 - 07:47 AM in Wii U Games and Software

I like the idea of a co-op mode. If you guys have played little big planet you may remember the 2 player areas where you could get extra stuff. They could have something like that except it could be more hidden. Like, a hidden entrance like you have to jump off a tree and wall jump into a special red pipe. Once you enter the new area you would have to work together to get past obstacles. Or it could be a race like somebody said.

That sentence has no punctuation.

#111088 Awesome Mario themed bathroom

Posted by coolsarahkry on 21 September 2012 - 02:10 PM in The Café

I'd rather have a themed room than a bathroom, but still awesome! I think they didn't show the rest because it wasn't decked out.

#109731 Analyst thinks Nintendo will sell 10 million Wii U's in it's first 14...

Posted by coolsarahkry on 18 September 2012 - 04:02 PM in Wii U Hardware

all i want is for the supply to meet demand, what a shame it would be if there was more than 10 million demand but they couldn't make enough in time

yes

#136074 Will you share your Wii U at Thanksgiving?

Posted by coolsarahkry on 22 November 2012 - 07:18 AM in General Gaming

Are you surrounded by 10 year olds or something that you would worry? lol - I will be sharing - all my friends and close family are over the age of 21 and all gamers...so I trust them. My 8 year old has been taught well, so I can even trust her :) . I've had friends and family over literally every night since launch and we been going crazy with NSMBU, sonic racing, nintendo land, and king of zombies mode in Zombi U!

Well, 11 and 14-year old cousins, and I am 14. It's just that my cousins are rough with people ( Like my cousin GRABS food from people at lunch and thinks its funny. And she has punched me) They need to prove themselves to be mature before I let their hands near it.

#136037 Will you share your Wii U at Thanksgiving?

I'm in a dilemma and I don't want anyone to break it.

#136197 Will you share your Wii U at Thanksgiving?

Posted by coolsarahkry on 22 November 2012 - 10:00 AM in General Gaming

I understand your dilemma then. I'd say its one of those things where..either you don't play at all or let them play with it...or be a jerk I guess lol. I'd be king of the gamepad though in your situation..I think then there wouldn't be much damage they can do.

I decided just to replace it with the Wii... if they ask me why I'll say I wasn't ready to share it yet because it was really expensive.

#221930 Pikmin 3 Bingo Battle Mode

This game IS the reason I bought wii u. I can't wait!

#136079 Thoughts on Wii U for non-Wii U owners

Posted by coolsarahkry on 22 November 2012 - 07:23 AM in Wii U Hardware

At first I liked my Wii U, but I didn't love it. I would compare it to when you first buy a CD (if you remember what that's like). Sometimes, you like the songs, but wonder if the CD was worth 15 bucks. But after you become familiar with the songs, you love the entire CD. That's how Wii U worked for me. Once I figured out how to navigate the menu and all of the features, I fell in love with Wii U.

I felt the same way, I was unsure but now I LOVE it.

#172388 NFC ideas

Posted by coolsarahkry on 17 February 2013 - 10:35 AM in Wii U Hardware

So basically... it's gonna be the AR card feature that nintendo 3DS had? That people forgot about after like a year?...

People still use the AR card feature. For example, in Kingdom Hearts DDD, you could use a card that came with the game to unlock new dream eaters.
It could be intergrated better. Imagine buying special pokemon cards to unlock the pokemon in game, where you could level them up. I think that would be cool. Although, I've never really been interested in DLC or NFC, but if they offer some for free I might get into it.
