If you are Bind by contract then yes a game can't be go multiplat but if not, multiplat it goes. Also please explain some of these factors then?
Contracts are the biggest ones, there are also some things on exclusive games that the developers will simply not want to try and port over to the other consoles thus there is very few chances of it going multiplat.
There is also the team's feelings towards a company, like how Falcom has given up on making Ys games for anything other than Sony at this point. There are other factors I'm not thinking of, too.

Gut feeling or do you just not see Wii U selling well in the future?
Just don't see it taking off. But I'd love to be wrong, more competition to make the other manufacturers try harder.

Considering how Ninja Gaiden has changed ever since Itagaki quit, it's not too much a surprise. It does beg the question as to whether or not games like Rayman Legends will maintain exclusivity though
Anyone who thinks Rayman Legends will stay exclusive has a few screws loose, that's all I will say on that.

What is everybody talking about? They have the machines in America. They have them in all of my local arcades.

Apparently they did come out in America, arcades aren't prevalent in the US though so that would explain why we don't see them.

Well, still no need to worry about nintendo getting money in Japan. Look how popular the 3DS is there! Still, the number could be a bit bigger for the Wii U.
I honestly see this gen being another N64/GCN for them. IE: The handheld sells insanely well and is able to carry the console.

It launched two months ago. And if that's not enough, we're talking about what's basically an enhanced re-release of a one year old game.
Nintendo hasn't released any heavy hitters, hence the low sales numbers. Do tell me why Wii U deserves higher numbers at this point in time.
Calm down bud, and because it still has some games but I agree not enough.

You may have a point.
His principles are great. But he may actually be a hindrance in some cases nowadays.
Sacrilege I know.
He should be an advisor with someone one step above who is more forward thinking (not necessarily younger). Iwata is not that guy either.
Yeah, like how recently Miyamoto ruined Sticker Star. Very disappointed in the majority of things he does lately.
