#241636 Wii U Summer/Fall Update

Posted by wombateer on 26 August 2013 - 02:16 AM in Wii U Hardware

More speed, more apps, more features.

#241634 Platinum/Nintendo/3rd Party RANT

Posted by wombateer on 26 August 2013 - 02:13 AM in Wii U Games and Software

These games are only getting made because Nintendo is publishing them. Bayonetta 2 would be multiplatform but no one was interested in publishing so Nintendo picked it up.

Indeed, Bayonetta 2 would not exist (according to Platinum) if Nintendo had not stepped in, if I recall. So personally I would un-rant and calm down.

If Bayonetta turns out to be mediocre, then what?

#241348 possible reason many early games underpreform

Posted by wombateer on 25 August 2013 - 05:45 AM in Wii U Hardware

I'll guess we shall have more of a picture of what the Wii U can do (if the developer, that being Ubisoft) makes of Watch Dogs. Do they take it towards the Xbox 360/ PlayStation 3, or take it as close to the Xbox One/PlayStation 4 as they can?

Time will tell.

That's why you have night vision.

I don't remember that coming out, but I heard the game wasn't that great anyway.

It never came out for Wii U.

#241244 Call of Duty no longer listing Ghosts Free Fall for Wii U, retailers still are

Posted by wombateer on 23 August 2013 - 10:49 AM in Wii U Games and Software

Possibly it's up to Nintendo to approve DLC, much like the game, has the rumours are circulating that Nintendo gave the finally say on when the game was announced as a platform.

It could all be down to Nintendo for the lack of...

They ported a half-baked version without any online multiplayer for the Wii U and called it the "definite" version.

Not Sniper Elite V2, but Sniper Ghost Warrior 2, that was developed on CryEngine tech.

Great game, hopefully Watch Dogs is as good.

#239593 is there a problem with Nintendo's Online Infrastructure?

Posted by wombateer on 16 August 2013 - 07:43 AM in Wii U Games and Software

Maybe it's lack of networking infrastructure (knowledge). Seems they/Nintendo struggled with HD, maybe they/Nintendo are struggling with online aspects.

On another note. How To Survive, a zombie survival game that is in development for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, has now been announced for Wii U, minus the online MP acpects.

No wonder games are failing to sell.

#239297 Retromade Poll, which idea would you like for a new game?

Posted by wombateer on 14 August 2013 - 10:34 PM in Wii U Games and Software

Oh, that's our dream :) but this kind of game needs a really big team to develop it and we are still small team, but maybe the next game after this one if we have sucess with Hell IX and the next one voted here.

Sweet!

#239164 New Hell-IX gameplay video

Posted by wombateer on 14 August 2013 - 08:38 AM in Wii U Games and Software

Yes you can always ask :) and yes, the game will have civilians... not only to watch out, to rescue too... you cann't see them still on video because we are on alpha 0.7 version. We still have a lot to work to do :)

Epic!

Bad guys riding camels with RPG's is the way forward.

Make a space trading game, something akin to the old Elite, that online would be great.

#239161 Shin’en Says They Are Working On Second Generation Wii U Engine

If their (new) engine is the dogs dinner, maybe they should licence it out, to other potential Nintendo developers.

Looking forward to this.

One (ask/question) if I may.

1: Is there any chance of incorporating civilians into this, not that I want to go round blasting camels and their nomad riders (the Desert Strike kind of map). It could give the gamer something to watch out for when gunning for enemy vehicles on the road and tracks.

#239102 Shin’en Says They Are Working On Second Generation Wii U Engine

Posted by wombateer on 13 August 2013 - 10:28 PM in Wii U Hardware

Possibly they are building the Frostbite engine for Wii U, so that we can have all those lovely EA games, like Battlefront and Battlefield.

#239099 WiiU needs more games!

Posted by wombateer on 13 August 2013 - 10:20 PM in Wii U Games and Software

I own a WiiU but i think that it needs more games, even though games are coming out in 2014. Nintendo should work with more companies that work with Xbox and Sony systems to get games such as GTA 5 and snould get games like dishonered, The division in the fall and get more dlc for its games. Xbox and Sony are getting more dlc for games like COD BO2 like new levels such as the new nuketown and more dlc like the new pack. I think that but they should and games like battlefield and stuff.

The Division is planned for next year. (Towards the end of the year if I remember rightly?) You mention Battlefield here, and people go on an EA tirade. Not the fact it would really bolster Nintendo's library.

DLC, should be made available, but micro-transactions also kick up a fuss???

But yes, Nintendo needs a varied genre, hopefully this next year we will see things different, and more positive.

#238716 Petition to bring Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain to the Wii U!

Posted by wombateer on 12 August 2013 - 02:58 AM in Wii U Games and Software

Really not necessary at this point!!! With so much quality software coming out (W101, Pikmin3, RaymanLegends, LoZ:WW HD, Topical Freeze, Sonic: Lost World, SuperMario 3D world) this year and more next year  I doubt real Nintendo gamers have the funds or time to play anything else.

But the bigger the software library, surely than has more appeal to the potential buyer/s of the Wii U.

There is also a thing called trade-in. I've used it many times.

#238714 Nintendo fans, would you go for a tactical shooter?

Posted by wombateer on 12 August 2013 - 02:45 AM in Wii U Games and Software

Then what are you doing on a Nintendo forum?

Reading and talking about various Nintendo games, be it 1st or 3rd party content. As well as looking at the potential to bring a varied genre to a platform. I've played Nintendo games for more than twenty years. Two decades and counting. And you, are you just getting started, because I've been gaming for three decades.

Also I've written content, worked for some of the biggest gaming publishers in the business. Activision, LucasArts (Disney), Codemasters and Sony Computer Entertainment Europe.

I like games on all platforms, I think that's called being a gamer? But I could be wrong.

Define Hardcore.

http://en.wikipedia....#Hardcore_gamer (ignore this.) I thought you said gamer.

Read about it here.

The question, can the Wii U get a port.

#238510 Nintendo fans, would you go for a tactical shooter?

Posted by wombateer on 11 August 2013 - 08:50 AM in Wii U Games and Software

Nintendo fans, would you go for a tactical shooter? Like hardcore, tactical shooter!

Takedown: Red Sabre is a hardcore game, like tactical hardcore, take your time, hardcore! It’s NOT a run-and-gun shooter, it’s a thinking mans/woman’s game. So all fans of Call of Duty and clones, you might want to stay clear, give this game a wide birth.

It’s being headed-up/developed by Christian Allen who worked on early Tom Clancy classic’s like, Rainbow Six: Athena Sword and Ghost Recon: Island Thunder, just to name a few, plus Halo: Reach, if you like that kind of shooter?

Under his guidance he has assembled a team that includes former Zipper Interactive staff of (SOCOM) fame and others. The is game powered by Unreal Engine 3 technology (so there is no qualms of the Wii U of not being able to run it).

It is being published by 505 Games, who recently published Sniper Elite V2 on the Wii U, so there’s a chance if there’s enough interest. (If they did bring it to the Wii U, lets just hope they included the treasured multiplayer aspects.) Nudge, nudge, wink, wink, cough, cough.

In fact someone by the name of AquilarExmortis asked if there is any chance of the game appearing on the Wii U.

The reply by the man himself was. “Lol lets see if wii u makes it first.”

This is an extract taken from an article I wrote, in regards to the forum post on the official Takedown: Red Sabre game.

http://www.serellan....pic/1285-wii-u/

There is also some off-screen (cam alpha footage.) It's rough, but could be a promising game, if you like it, well hardcore and tactical.

Your thoughts please.

#238501 Wind Waker U Discussion

Posted by wombateer on 11 August 2013 - 08:36 AM in Wii U Games and Software

I sadly missed the first so i'm buying this . :)

Me too, because I went for PS2 and not a GC back in the day, and when I got a Wii (all the back catalogue games on my list I never got through.) And then I did the silliest of things. I gave the Wii to my nephew and became an Xbox 360 gamer.

So this time around, I'm there.
