In a world that's constantly changing and innovating, Nintendo seems to be the only one in the business to be bold, take the first and stand up to their beliefs (yeah, Microsoft and the Xbox 180 ordeal only show that they can't do the same) and I honestly believe that's what'll make them stick around for much longer than most companies that they're competing against now.

Nintendo is a legendary company with a very impressive legacy, they have withstood a lot of hardships but they always stood strong. Their products have changed lives, products that have been with us for generations, and they keep uniting families and friends. Just thinking of how I got into Mario games because of my dad and my aunt and now I can play NSMBU with my little brother, my mother and my grandfather goes to show the power of Nintendo's products.

Is Nintendo serious now? In such a critical time, when they know they're hurting themselves with the lack of advertisement for the Wii U and their games, they prohibit broadcasting Smash? Do they know the new Smash is going to be a huge system seller or are they that oblivious at the moment?

I just really hope Nintendo uses this opportunity now to hype the new Smash and at the same time advertise the Wii U.

I just think it's really admirable how passionate she is for candy.

I don't own the game but a good friend of mine has it and she totally reccomends. It does seem to be one of the best ported games, the others have all sorts of issues really and if you have other consoles or a gaming PC just get the other version.

Waiting for Bayonetta 2 is obvious though. It's gonna be a must have for every Wii U owner.

See a price drop is what the Wii U needs, why don't they do that with NA since its not even close to par up with the PS4's hardware.

Hello I'm Cat and I'm from Portugal. I've owned Nintendo systems since I was very young, starting by inheriting my dad's SNES (which still works!) and then by getting my first Game Boy at the age of 6.

I dabble a bit in everything, but in the past few years I've dedicated more time to Playstation systems and PC gaming. However, playing the good ol' Nintendo franchises on my NDSi made me remember the amazing experience that is owning a Nintendo system. So I decided to get myself a Wii U for my birthday! 

I'm looking forward not only to all the new releases for this year and the upcoming one but also to catch up on all those Wii games like Skyward Sword, Xenoblade Chronicles, Super Mario Galaxy, etc. that I never got to play!

How is Disney Infinity remotely comparable to Skylanders, though? Unless I have the whole concept of Skylanders down the wrong way, there's little to no similarity between the two games.

Definitely get Pikmin 3 this August if you can. Then pre-order Wonderful 101 (I think some places already have it), Wind Waker HD, Rayman Legends, Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze.

Final Fantasy was one of the first franchises that got me into gaming. To be honest I loved X (and even XII a little, despite people criticizing it). XIII wasn't as bad as most claim it to be but I have to admit though, every time SE tries to do sequels they screw it up big time. X-2 and XIII-2 are a total mess.

Maybe if Nintendo of Europe can't bring the same TVii experience to all European countries exactly like the American TVii, they could instead use TVii as an enhanced TV Remote app that would allows to control our current DVR devices.

I think for these big shot devs the issues lies in profiting. Developing a game for the Wii U is obviously going to be different than developing for the PS3/360 but that extra effort might also require more human resources and it's also possibly more costly. Now, do they want to shell out extra $$$ (even if it's a small amount considering all their wealth) for a console that's selling poorly? No. They rather invest in other, more successful, consoles that'll give them more sales, therefore more profit.

Hopefully some third-party company will make a similar controller to this one at a lower price... That's how I got my Wiimote + Nunchuk for $30 cheaper than the official ones.

I just googled "Wii U skins", got lots of results... It's not that difficult.

This is good, maybe people will stop complaining about "not enough third-party support" or "not enough hardcore games".

I don't understand everyone's obsession with getting DLC though. I mean, for me, DLC are just a pain; most of those things could've been easily included in the game, most are seriously overprice and 4/5 DLC's add little to no content (the only DLC's I ever bothered getting were for Mass Effect, that actually added more to the story).

I gotta say, the idea of a decent pc that is no maintenance for 7 years sounds awfully tempting...

Especially after a price cut, getting a PS4 for $300 would be such a great deal. I usually wait for the first revision to the hardware, but I don't know if I'll be able to hold out this time... Now I just need software to convince me too.

This really comes down to the different approaches devs have to their games. Devs complaining about the Wii U are those who care mostly about profit and 'milking' big franchises like Assassin's Creed, Call of Duty, FIFA, etc.  When the dev is just really passionate about videogames and is open minded to new experiences, like most indie devs are, the Wii U is a great system to work on, like any other Nintendo system because Nintendo was never really about the technical side of gaming. Nintendo cares about games being different, innovative, but most of all, fun.

I used to get all the Nintendo handhelds up until the moment we got a PS2 for the household. Stuck a few years with it, until 2/3 years into next-gen I got  a 360, something I regretted quite quickly. Got a DSi XL, which is a handheld I still very much enjoy, but to be honest handhelds are not satisfying me anymore, that's why I don't feel compelled to buy the 3DS (yet). The Wii had a few titles I felt really sad I was skipping on like Skyward Sword and NSMB and Xenoblade Chronicles, but it never really managed to convince me to get one (mostly because I was really skeptical about the motion controls). I got a PS3 last year, which has been a great experience but I really missed all those amazing Nintendo franchises like Zelda, Mario, Metroid, etc. so on a whim for my 18th birthday I got myself a Wii U and it's been great so far. 

Yes, even though Playstation have some really good exclusives that I'd like to play on the Wii U too, Nintendo is easily the best company when it comes to first-party franchises, not only in terms of quantity but quality too. That's why, despite having a PS3, I had to buy a Wii U or else I knew I was gonna be missing out on some great games coming out this year and 2014.

Personally, I think that yeah, Nintendo games can be a little underrated outside the "Nintendo community", mostly because they're dismissed as "kiddy games" that have no interest to "hardcore gamers". They really don't know what they're missing out on.
