Is it possible to take screenshots from the Wii U Menu? I'm trying to save some to put on Wikipedia, but it doesn't seem possible. Can any of you do it?

It's just a fake filler app that I added in to make the screen look more populated.

Wii Party U.. the bundle is a great deal because it comes with an extra Wii Remote that's worth almost as much as the bundle itself on its own!

I love that style and would be happy to have that on my Wii U. But the colors are pretty toned down, which is fine but seems to remind me of the PS3? But at this point it's just me nitpicking. I haven't been contributing at all though.

The background colour is fully customizable and can even be have an image of the game that is inserted in the console. But yeah, i see how it's looking like XMB... is that good or bad?

Here's version 2 of my previous concept! 

I toned down the colours and redid the entire layout. 

There isn't a definite art style on my concept.. It uses a combination of the glass style from the Wii U OS and flat design.

The background is inspired by the floating waves background in Mii Maker which is animated as well.

Soo.. yeah.

Update: One more thing.. It looks absolutely beautiful on the GamePad! Check it out for yourself!

I am a WII U BASIC USER.

 

Since WII U O/S took 5 GB from last update, I am kind of worrying about the upcoming system/firmware update.

 

In future, what if update will be bigger than 8GB, should I just throw away my basic WII U ?

 

I am serious that this could be happened in one day and think there will be some reason NINTENDO stopped selling BASIC UNIT.

 

Even though I connect an external hard drive , firmware update will only be able to be updated via internal flash memory ? isn't it ?

 

Can the system update be thru external storage as well ?

 

I hope NINTENDO consider the user of WII U BASIC further when they update !

The initial update wasn't 5 but actually around 1 GB. I doubt Nintendo would push out an update bigger than 2 GB, so you should be good. And besides, after the update is finished downloading and installing, the space that it took up will be cleared again.

Ark, I fell like yours is a little too flat, and too simplistic colour-wise, and Kiki, I feel basically the exact opposite about yours - a little too 3d, and too complex colour-wise

Thanks for your opinion! I went for something Nintendo-like, if you know what I mean - something similar to but a flatter version of the current Wii U interface. I'll take your suggestions and use them to improve it!

It agree with TriplePower, it does look professional! Yeah, the only thing you might want to fix is the spinning circle, but other than that, things are looking good!

Pretty cool concept image. I have to say that using the TV just to display the album cover is a little bit of an under usage of the TV, but I don't really see what else to do with it. I like the layout though, really sleek, official looking. I agree, the Wii U does need more multimedia apps.

I'm one of the biggest Sims fans you'll ever meet and I tell you, day one purchase for me! The art style looks beautiful and I'm glad they don't look like pudding faces anymore! (ahem, Sims 3) I'm so glad EA is focusing The Sims 4 on the sims themselves and not the open world (ahem, Sims 3 again) so the emotions and feelings system they have added in is amazing! Also, dat Build mode

Eh, looks like Sims 3 with better building and creating controls, the whole emotion thing doesn't seem like a big change. I'l need to see more features if they want me to buy it, until then i'l just stick with Sims 3. 

The Sims 3 sims didn't have emotion or feeling at all...
