#298572 The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD (Review) | ZyroXZ2

Posted by ZyroXZ2 on 02 October 2014 - 11:05 AM in The Museum

Which is weird, cause they're both really highly recommended...

They're both worth every penny, but gamers are so picky and not open-minded enough to find the joys in W101 in particular  :(

***AUTO-MERGED: NEW EPISODE!***

Time to bring another guest on the show for a "Let's Play" interview! So how does Jackeline fair in one of the most awesome 2D sidescrollers ever?!

[see OP]

Enjoy!

Added note:

Just want to issue a quick apology for anyone who had some issues trying to watch the video earlier today or those who waited for it and it didn't come up for another 1.5 hours!  It wasn't on my end, it was YouTube's, but I'd still like to apologize for any inconvenience!

Thank you again for your support of my little talk show! :)

The indie gaming scene continues to grow, and with it comes some absolute garbage... And also gem's like this one! Spend the $10 on 'The Fall', NOW!

Enjoy!

***AUTO-MERGED: NEW EPISODE! HYRULE WARRIORS REVIEW!***

There is one question, and one question only, that needs to be answered by 'Hyrule Warriors'.  Is this the ultimate Zelda spinoff you never knew you wanted?

Enjoy! :)

#303847 The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD (Review) | ZyroXZ2

Wow that ping review. Wish I had seen it before I went and wasted my money on the 9.8/10 trash smash bros is.

Also technically the second lap usually is slower than the first I think, cause people get tired. Unless it's a relay... lol

I was referencing cars, since the second lap starts with a full speed pass of the finish line, lol...  Even a rolling start on first laps aren't at full speed!

Though, in foot races, the second lap is generally faster, too, since the first lap was started at a dead stop  :P  Though when I ran track, I did sprints, not cross-country running...  But those guys always had consistent, steady lap times, with the second one still being faster than the first, lol

No, the copious amounts of cartoon boobs did not affect my review score.  Having said that, you might need some games to fill in the gaps of early 2015 on the Wii U, and this just might help you!

***AUTO-MERGED: New Episode 2/5/15: Cosplay Interview with Megan!***

I've returned with another cosplay interview, but this time we talk a little about Nintendo and why they seem relatively unpopular with cosplayers.  We also talk a bit about why we mostly see female cosplayers, and their ability to "crossplay" or "gender bend" while male cosplayers cannot!

***AUTO-MERGED: New Episode 2/12/15: Cosplay Interview with Ireland!***

Ireland is more straightforward and zany than most, so come watch her lick balls, give gaming health tips, and call amiibo hoarders dicks! Oh right, she's also a Nintendo fan, too!

I'm not really into this whole remake/port situation, but then again, the Wii U admittedly isn't exactly bursting at the seams with games to play!  So I took the dive and gave this PS2 port a shot!  Does it stand the test of time?

***AUTO-MERGED: 8/13/15: Donkey Kong Country 2 Review!***

Rare Replay is awesome, there's no doubt about it.  But it doesn't have ALL of Rare's best gems, and it CAN'T.  Microsoft may have bought Rare, but without the rights to Donkey Kong, there's a series that ranks up there with Rare's best work.  This one!

I admit it, I automatically gravitated towards Laura. I... I think I might have a problem... ._.

***AUTO-MERGED: 3/1/15***

I agree: the next main Zelda game just can't come soon enough! But with a tendency for delays, perhaps something to chew on might help ease the anxiety... And what better than an HD version of Twilight Princess!

And finally, this will be the last update provided to this thread.  Those of you who found me through this forum: I want to thank you for having the courage to check out "just another" YouTube channel being posted by a forum member!  I get that these things can be hard to trust, so those of you that had the fearlessness to watch my videos: I thank you kindly!

Some of you are on my social media and already know why I won't be updating forum threads anymore.  For the rest of you: the channel will be shutting down at the end of June 2016.  And for the losers that I easily tracked to individual forums that only dislike my videos when I post them: you finally got your win, and I hope it makes your day better!  Yes, I've known who you are for awhile now! :D

Farewell everyone, and best of joy with your games, not your systems!

#302743 The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD (Review) | ZyroXZ2

I come to the frightening revelation on how Call of Duty gets its review scores.  The real question is how I handled it.

... Or how I handled it like a very famous someone we know from a very popular movie.

Enjoy!

***AUTO-MERGED: New Episode 11/20/14: Sonic Boom Review!***

This is the third exclusive Sonic game to bring the contract to a close between Sega and Nintendo.  Does it end the exclusivity deal with a bang or a whimper?

Enjoy!

Nintendo brings 2014 to a close with Captain Toad, and along with it, some graphical enhancements! You like graphics, right?

This is a puzzle game you won't want to miss, but of course let my review tell you why!

Have a good holiday!

***AUTO-MERGED: NEW EPISODE 12/18/14: Watch Dogs Review!***

I tweeted that if I received 50 RTs on a tweet about Watch Dogs for the Wii U, I'd buy it.  As you can see, I ate the bullet on this one.  I sacrificed my money to Ubisoft for you, but does this mean you should do the same?

***AUTO-MERGED: New Episode 12/25/14: Bayonetta Review!* MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!***

Since there were forum issues, I couldn't update this properly on Thurs, I apologize if the Christmas thing is really out of place now! Haha

I get to scratch this one off the backlog list from nearly 5 years ago!  I also get to do it dressed as Samus... or Princess Peach.. And for free since it was included with Bayonetta 2.  Thank you, Nintendo!

Merry Christmas to you all, and I hope you enjoy your ugly sweaters!

I thought a person who loves Asian food and playing Mario Kart with kids would be a pretty good plan... Until she started to fall asleep on me...

What did I do wrong?!

Enjoy!  :)

***AUTO-MERGED: NEW EPISODE 10/16/14!***

I take a step back in time, and look at one of, if not the only, 3rd party port that made it to the Wii U with some decent effort.  Is this a gem you might have missed and a shining example of what could have been?

Enjoy!

#300774 The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD (Review) | ZyroXZ2

Posted by ZyroXZ2 on 06 November 2014 - 12:05 PM in The Museum

Dang this makes me reaaaaalllly want to get this game now. I'm a big fan of arcade racers. Heck I can still remember the first time I played Need for Speed (must be ten years ago now) and loving it, and wanting it. Despite this, I've never owned one other than burnout on my laptop which, while nice, isn't quite the experience I'm looking for. Need for speed however, seems to have that. I'd heard the game was good and a definitive port, but hadn't really seen it in action until now. And it was bonerific

Well, I just reviewed 'Forza Horizon 2', and if you really are a big fan of arcade racers, that one is worth an entire system purchase (at least to me!).

And I only get boners off the sound of the cars xD

***AUTO-MERGED: New Episode 10/23/14: Cosplay Interview with Nicole!***

My love of doing interviews comes from the perspectives it offers.  However, unlike previous ones...

This girl is every Nintendo fan's dreamgirl.  No.  Joke.  Keep your pants on, please.

Enjoy!

***AUTO-MERGED: New Episode 10/30/14: Bayonetta 2 Review!***

Bayonetta 2 had been something of a controversial Wii U exclusive, with responses escalating to death threats against Platinum Games.  Well, fast forward to now, and the game is out in the wild on the one and only Wii U.

So should fans of the series shut up and put up with buying a Wii U just for Bayonetta 2?  Let's find out!

Oh, and Happy Halloween! :]

***AUTO-MERGED: New Episode 11/6/14: Graphics, Graphics, Graphics!***

I've been avoiding the graphics talk, but no matter where I go or what I do, somehow, graphics come up.  So, I figured, time to tackle it myself.  Sort of... Actually, it's more about tackling how much YOU care about it!

I use Need For Speed: Most Wanted on the Wii U, and Forza Horizon 2 on the Xbox One to provide a little perspective.  Do ya care?  Well DO ya?!

Enjoy!

U gotta pick up Deus Ex on Wii U. It can get had for dirt cheap... it's fantastic with gamepad.. deserves a video!

No worries, I've been made aware of this game on many counts, I'll consider it  :)

#308626 Xbox One Lunar White Controller (Review) | ZyroXZ2

Posted by ZyroXZ2 on 10 March 2015 - 11:06 AM in General Gaming

Since, like, 2 people said they'd be interested in seeing my opinions on the new Battlefield Hardline beta, I went ahead and did it all for them! :P

[See OP]

Wow- your review of Dragon Age sounded like it deserved more than an 8.5....I'll get this eventually but it will be a while b/c of my back log.

The issues I listed still hold it back from being a higher-scoring game: slow mounts that are barely faster than being on foot, a clunky interface, tons of junk to constantly have to sell, stiff animation and animation stuttering... The animation issues were one of the biggest offenders, as there's no reason for a modern 2014 game to have an issue like that!

***AUTO-MERGED: Xbox One vs Wii U!***

Now that I've owned the Xbox One for 6 months, it's time to give a more proper shakedown to it and pit it against the Wii U. Has my first Microsoft console turned me into a fan?

***AUTO-MERGED: Dead or Alive 5 Last Round Review!***

Yes this game has boobs.  It also has high level martial arts being performed by hot females that goes above the stereotype that females generally do not have physical prowess.  I like boobs, but I also like a good, strong female!

That's a lotta old and new games for $30... But how many of the games should you be interested in for it to be worth it?  I'd say 1/3 of them is enough, and even then... it honestly makes Nintendo look pretty greedy considering the pricing scheme of the Virtual Console!

***AUTO-MERGED: Forza Motorsport 6 Review!***

There's just something about powerful, nimble cars that brings out the absolutely garbage Brit in me.  I'm not Jeremy Clarkson, and this isn't Top Gear, but it IS Forza Motorsport 6!

Just got both- got Rare Replay for $20 and $10 off of Forza.... Haven't played either b/c of that Mario game and..... embarrassed to say Skylanders.

Don't be embarrassed... That is, unless you're not playing it on the Wii U along with the custom Bowser and DK Skylanders amiibo...  :P

***AUTO-MERGED***

Looks like it's just an extra snazzy white and gold controller right?  The thing is, there are a couple of differences that might just make this controller worth the extra $5!

***AUTO-MERGED: Destiny Review! (9/23/14)***

***AUTO-MERGED: Let's Play with Jeremy! (10/7/14)***

I bring my first guest onto the Xbox "Hut" show, and allow him to try his skills at Forza Motorsport 5... with my steering wheel setup!  He's consequently also the first dude to come on my show as a guest!

As a player who's been using a controller, how well does he fare with a force feedback steering wheel?  Let's watch and find out!

***AUTO-MERGED: Forza Horizon 2 Review! (10/21/14)***

There's nothing quite like the unrealism of an arcade racer. But what if that was layered with sim racing characteristics, placed in a highly detailed and large open world, and spattered with lots of cars and various activities? What you have is this.

Also, my British apparently degrades drastically on 3 hours of sleep...

Since I have Halo:TMCC, I got to jump into the Halo 5 multiplayer beta.  What I primarily wanted to find out was how it felt to play in a genre that is overcrowded: many sharing similar control feel and mechanics.  Is Halo 5 going to set itself apart, and is that a good thing?

***AUTO-MERGED: Dragon Age: Inquisition Review (1/27/15)***

***AUTO-MERGED: Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare - Havoc DLC Review***

So I skipped the season pass to try out the first DLC pack released for Advanced Warfare to see if I feel the new zombies mode will be worth it.  I'll readily admit I had fun, but was it $15 of fun?

Hey what's that outro song for the forza horizon review? I rarely love drum n bass but when I do I really love it, and that sounded pretty good.

It's the intro song to the game

We're not besties any more.

also I searched you NNID from the NFS vid (doc989) and it came up with a 15 year old. So yeah wut happened man.

Not sure if sarcastic... But if you aren't, you missed the episode announcing Miiverse artist art features, lol  :D

***AUTO-MERGED: Sunset Overdrive Review! (11/11/14)***

Sunset Overdrive was NOT a game on my radar.  However, being an Xbox One owner, I felt it would have been an absolute misstep to not buy the game even if just for review purposes...

#305349 Xbox One Lunar White Controller (Review) | ZyroXZ2

Posted by ZyroXZ2 on 14 December 2014 - 11:27 PM in General Gaming

Pretty good review, but of course we all have different opinions and my problems with the game are poor controller response times for campaign and online, deadzone with the sticks (thankfully now patched for Halo 3) and online generally doesn't work.

Apart from that they did a good job with each Halo's single player.

Hmmm, I had no poor controller response at all... If you mean the "feel" of the acceleration values on movement, I can see what you mean since I play CoDAW.  The controller responsiveness is 60 fps smooth, but everything feels heavier than CoDAW.

And there were times Halo 4 looked like it belonged in the current generation, I really can't wait to see what 343 Industries pulls off with Halo 5!

Being the first Call of Duty entry done by Sledgehammer games, how does Advanced Warfare compare to past entries? Is it more of the same, or is it a reimagining? Let's find out!

All that rail grinding reminded me of Sly Cooper :)

I missed the franchise entirely, but who knows, I may go back in time and try it out, hehe  :P

#310003 Tantalus’ Wii U port will be announced soon for this year, studio’s biggest .

It's probably sonic boom.

That's probably one of the best guesses of what we're losing I've seen anywhere, lol

#309904 Tantalus’ Wii U port will be announced soon for this year, studio’s biggest .

Posted by ZyroXZ2 on 01 March 2015 - 08:11 PM in Wii U Games and Software

My greater concern is that they are apparently porting a Wii U game to the PS4/Xbox One...

Ya see, I'm all for the Wii U getting more games, but losing exclusives?  They'd better not be porting Bayonetta 2 (and btw, that CAN be possible since Sega owns the IP and can publish a port on other systems themselves [obviously outsourcing the port job to a developer like Tantalus] if there is no explicit part of the contract stating that the game will remain Wii U-only indefinitely).

This is much like how Mass Effect, originally published by Microsoft Game Studios, eventually ended up on other platforms through EA buying out Bioware and Bioware owning the IP.
