I think everyones reasoning is the fact that EA has that new IGNITE engine for their sports games while 2K is basically just up-resing their engine each year.

No it wouldn't. If the Vita has proven anything, it's that exclusive M-rated titles aren't system sellers for a $300+ handheld.
