So I built my computer. I’m having an issue though. My Windows Experience Index keeps getting an error when it assesses the memory performance. I looked it up and it’s from having more than 16 MB L3 cache. I tried downloading a hotfix from Microsoft’s site, but the link seems to be broken. I can’t find much information on this so I’m kind of stuck. Anyone here know a solution?

It's a terrible solution, but it's to simply not use WEI to gauge how well your computer will perform in games.

Yeah, I don't actually use WEI seriously. It's the only problem I've encountered so far on this computer. (Well this and my CPU gets too hot... At stock speed) I was just hoping to fix it.

I'm using budget RAM and a cheap SSD and I still have a maximum score on my WEI.

I'll post it in "get something new" thread. It's meant to be for gaming and rendering. I saved a lot of money for this so I put good parts in it for some future proofing.

Is there a way to turn off automatic updates, or should I just disconnect from the internet? I can't record them atm and I really don't want to lose them.

The Smash Bros online moderation system is annoying. I got one of those no fighting groups online, so I decided to just walk left and right for the match. 15 or 20 seconds later, I got disconnected for idling… Even though I was moving, I must have been idling. :/

Yeah I've actually only played For Glory and everyone spams it's so terrible. I didn't even think of playing for fun :P cos I thought I would be like one of the better players but not when they're all spamming.

My new laptop died a few weeks back. It's been in a warranty repair for a while. Hope to get it back soon. I haven’t been around much because of that.
