I am honestly disappointed in Capcom, I thought they were gonna be major Wii U supporters, but RE6 isn't coming, and the chances of DmC are next to zero :(

We shall wait and see, it could be that the games may never come or they might not come at all. Some Devs are still unable to discuss about there games coming for the Wii U unless Nintendo gives them a green light and even than the devs has restrictions. So be patient and hope for the best.

@ Cerebruz I suppose it may not be designed in the way to introduce new players to the story of Resident Evil but you can read about it on the wikia to get a good amount of info on it.
