Question (please no stupid answers) if I tried super gluing the rubber grey thingy circle pad back to the black stick thing, would it possibly burn the rubber or damage the 3DS itself from the fumes?

    glue doesnt work. there is no real repair for this.

    Try calling them and explaining. Not 100% certain but iirc i think i got a cheaper price when i did that.
