yeah I love the first tho has it's flaws mostly because it's technical limits and budget. Areas look the same and easy to get lost. Some 2D tropes taking yourself fully out of a dungeon and some really bad VA and a silly ending but I truly love it. So I have the PS1 version and the Japanese Saturn. lol yes I finished it in Japanese. Knew the game well enough. Music esp great. Happy console gamer has a hand drawn signed pic of Juston from the creator. May he RIP. jealous of that

Definately has flaws. But im definately one for flawed progression that will eventually be polished just right, than pretty de-evolution that will end up destroying your company and genre (Looks at pre-rendered back drop FF). I think the best thing about that game, considering the low budget and thus samey dungeon areas, would definately be the no random encounters. Without random encounters, you could afford to explore, and even get stuck in same looky loops. But man, had it been random enco...

Love Justin. Character is a total doof. Completely Earnest, and they didnt even try to make him 'cool', which makes him incredibly endearing.
