Is it true that the ps2 can play dvd's? I tried one and it didn't work! It said inster a PS or PS2 format disk!

Hello! My name is Kao and I am a Kangaroo! If you can see my kicking picture there, you can see me riding one of mine friends! I am quite popular in the area because I saved alot of animals turning in to women accsesories. It was quite painfull on the way, but I liked the experience! I plan on buying a plane with all my money I got and going on an adventure on the isles. My first adventure was when that Mcguffin Hunter cought me, but I escaped, and I don't want to let any animal in pain! What's your story, mate?

All PS2's play dvd's. It was the main selling point when it first came out.

Yes. All PS2 models can, I believe.
As GC said, there might be a problem with your console unit.

Ditch it and buy a bluray drive for DVDs and blurays. Then get wii u for games.
That way you don't wear out your optical drive.

You can get a decent one for around $80.I knew DVD work on PS2, but I asked to make sure if its right, because mine didn't work!
