I take it you don't know that things in general are far more expensive in the EU and UK. The cost of living in general is much higher.
Yeah I know...
It's too bad for you guys. D:

It's quite obvious Nintendo are saving their big guns until E3. Which is stupid. This system is selling abysmally, they really need to do something fast. Nintendo shouldn't of rushed this console out. They did the same thingwith the 3DS and now they're doing the same thing for the Wii U.

The NES anniversary VC sale is pretty much the Wii U's version of Nintendo ambassador

I don't think Nintendo rushed the wii u. In fact many argue the wii u is far too late for its spec. It should have been released a year or two before. I think the issue with the wii u is its too high a price and too low spec. If the launch price had been lower they may have got away with the spec but it was too high.
I personally feel they should have abandoned wii compatibility and dedicated more of the silicon to enhancing the performance of wii u mode. This wouldn't have cost extra money. The original wii gpu silicon could have been replaced by extra cpu power quite easily at no extra cost. It should have launched in the UK at £199 for the basic model. If the wii u had extra cpu resources I feel the wii u would comfortably outperform the existing 360/PS3 models and would have been seen as an upgrade.
I hope Nintendo remember the early adopters when they price cut.

So how many more games do Nintendo need to sell with the console in order to make profit? Last time I heard it was one, do they now need to sell 2 first party games?
