We're told Ryse is designed to be Microsoft's new Gears of War / Halo mega launch title. It's set in the roman empire period and uses deep Kinect integration to allow a player to slash and kick at enemies. We understand that Ryse will take advantage of the new body tracking improvements in the next Kinect sensor. Ryse is part of four major launch titles for the next-generation Xbox. Sources tell us that a new Forza title with "super life-like" graphics will also be made available at launch, alongside a zombie game and a family game set on an island with Pixar movie-style graphics. We're told that the family game will utilize Kinect to scan a body and generate a virtual character in the game.
Quote:
We understand that these four titles are a small selection of the launch titles for the next-generation Xbox. Third-party support is said to be strong in the first-person-shooter genre. Microsoft is also working on some improvements to Xbox Live, including a switch to currency over the Microsoft Points system.

Kinect integration? That doesn't sound good at all. Everything else sounds pretty cool to me.

Microsoft really isn't doing a very good job at keeping secrets are they?

? So a bunch of unconfirmed rumors mean they can't keep secrets? Were you around for the 3DS, Wii U, and PS4 rumors? Almost all of them were false when each console was officially announced.

Ah. Well, people believed these crazy rumors and came out disappointed when both of them were released. The 3DS was said to be as powerful as a 360. That's all I really have to say about that issue, lmao. Rumors will be rumors until confirmed, as far as I'm concerned.

The 3DS can pull off 360 visuals though: Street Fighter 4, Resident Evil Revelations, and Dead or Alive Dimmensions are all running on 360 engines.

The shaders are 360-level or something, aren't they?

The only people who said it was as powerful as 360 were idiots who didn't understand the original quote which was something like "some games look as good as 360 games".

Street Fighter 4 was nothing impressive, especially with its static backgrounds. Resident Evil Revelations is a beautiful looking game, but it doesn't compare to Resident Evil 5 in terms of graphics, might wanna play it again to refresh your memory. And you've got to be kidding if you think Dead or Alive Dimensions looks as good as any of the ones on the 360. Dimensions doesn't even come close to looking as good as Dead or Alive 3 on the original Xbox! I love my 3DS, but let's be real. It may be able to pull off the same shaders, but that's pretty much it.

Dead or Alive: Dimensions on the 3DS.

Dead or Alive 5 on the 360.

The latter far surpasses the former.

Except they are: Revelations is on the Resident Evil 5 engine, DoA Dimmensions is on the DoA 4 engine, and Street Fighter 4 3D is on Street Fighter 4's engine.

Except Dead or Alive 3 surpasses Dead Or Alive: Dimensions and that was from the original Xbox. Resident Evil 5 blows Revelations out of the water. Street Fighter 4 is also significantly better looking on the PS3 and 360. It doesn't matter if they're using the same engine, because all of the console games you mentioned surpass 3DS capabilities.

Uh? None of what you said makes any sense. Comparing Forza (and calling it a lower tier first party game, lol) to a 2D Mario game? What?

The bias against Microsoft is unbelievable up on here. People will believe these horrible rumors about the Next box and make them seem as if they're confirmed, but any bad rumor against the PS4 (before it was revealed) and it was all "hey guys, let's wait! rumors are just rumors!"

The only big difference between Street Fighter on 3DS and 360 was the resolution: everything else looked identical. The reason Capcom was interested in the 3DS in the first place wss because they had Resident Evil 5 running well on the thing. I also compared footage of DoA 3 and 4 compared to Dimensions, and it looks just as good as 4 (all if them are good looking games though, and 4 wasn't necessary that big of an upgrade IMO)
