[Auzzie Wingman]

The majority of people here play a wide variety of systems, including Playstation, Xbox, Nintendo and PC. This isn't a Nintendo based forum, it's a forum for users of the Wii U system.

 

Due to past events, it's against the rules to beat up on the big three, and other developers, such as SEGA, by extension. Please refrain from continuing with this unwanted behaviour. The last thing we need is Saturn 2.0

 

On that note, linking the SEGA fandom to SEGA is a horrible idea in general. Goes with everything really. Fanboys of any nature tend to have emotional obscurity to critical judgment.

If we can't have a little fun and crap talk about our competitiors, why even have a public forum? I'm not disrespecting anyone, just having a little fun. It's my right to say how much I hate SEGA and love Nintendo, Wii U, or whatever you wanna call it Now pony up, and get super hyped about what we heard in this mornings Nintedo Direct.

I don't think spending a week on Sega Forums is a good measuring stick for analyzing the Sega/sonic fanbase as a whole. There are good people among the fanbase, both on those forums and outside Sega forums. I don't know the experience you had over there, nor am I aware of what goes on on that site these days, but I'm quite sure there are just as many sega fans that enjoy nintendo content as there are here.

I was apart of the Sega forums before but it wasn't the haters the scared me off, it was the moderators inability to tell whether or not haters were having an opinion or just flat-out trolling.

nintendo fanboys are just the same when the sony/ms fans start picking a fight. they will never admit defeate and will defend nintendos greatness to the death. i consider myself a nintendo fanboy. i can admit that but i can also admit the nintendo have made plenty of mistakes from what i heard and they are having a hard time recovering to this date.

When's the last time you saw a crap load of recolored fan characters/Mary Sues or drama over couple shipping in the Mario fanbase? I know no fanbase is a saint (see TV Tropes page on that).

Nothing like the good ol days of Genesis Vs SNES!!!  I hated Sega when I was a kid, Genesis was crap compared to SNES, the games sucked. lol But now Sega consoles have a special place in my house..

I disagree. I only had a SNES because I couldn't afford to also own a Genesis back then but there were a lot of good games on the latter as well as the former.

Which is both ridiculous and immature. Just because there are Sega fanboys doesn't mean you should hate the company. By that logic you should hate all the game companies as they all have fanboys including Nintendo.

 Just my opinion. I lived through the "war" lol. Seriously it was crazy back then, kids were brutal because SNES Mortal Kombat didnt have blood but Genesis did (with a code). Or Mario sucks and Sonic is better. I stood by my SNES even when i got a Genesis... I remember kids on my street would split into two groups SEGA an NINTENDO. But even after all the arguing we would still go to each others houses to play the games on Sega or SNES that we didnt have.
